The defending champions Azzurri are looking forward to winning another Euros after their failure to even qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2022. This time around things are different as there are no Chiellini and Bonucci in the squad to brighten up the squad power to pave their way to success.
The last Euros was fantastic and nail-biting, as the tough competition between England and Italy resulted in a draw and then carried out towards the penalties. Eventually, god’s grace for Italy worked well with them and unfortunately, it couldn’t come home for the English side yet another time.
The mighty Italian side has been absent in the back-to-back FIFA World Cups. Although, Italy’s class in defense and midfield have spoken in tough situations. Luciano Spalletti will take over the wheel to steer towards victory for Italy and to become the Champions for the second time.
Italy’s Fixtures in the Group Stage
The Azzurri will face Albania on 16th June, and Spain on 21st June. These fixtures might tell the future performances of Italy. The former Italy manager Roberto Mancini had the upper hand to leave the previous Euros with heavy hands. Although, it might be tough for Spalletti to do the same as there are very tough fixtures ahead.

The center-back position will be held by Gianluca Mancini as he’s the captain of Roma. His leadership has brought a lot of bright side to his club. He even brought Roma into the semi-finals of the Europa League once.
Alessandro Bastoni as with the following partnership with Mancini would be a dynamic duo as both of them have relevant experience for their club and Bastoni’s defense could be put into serious consideration.
Last but not least Federico Dimarco as a Left Back is the crucial player for Italy. The Inter Milan talisman has scored six goals and eight assists in 40 appearances.
Midfielders
The Central midfielder Nicolo Barella is the goat of all Italian midfielders. The main thing that keeps him very special is how he recovers the ball by going deep toward the defense. His interception has also been a vital part. Alongside him, Bryan Cristante of Roma also contributes a crucial role as his right foot can play a big role.
The attacking midfield is controlled by Lorenzo Pellegrini, due to his magnificent attack and defense, He had the best season for Roma playing 42 games, and scoring 10 goals, and eight assists.
Attackers
The left wing will be taken care of by the Juventus superstar Federico Chiesa. His form and explosive brilliance can burn the defenders with his one-on-one skills and his perfect technique. The right wing will get held by Raspadori of Napoli because of his crossing flair.
The striker position will be controlled by Gianluca Scamacca of Atalanta. He has scored 1 goal in 6 matches for Italy.
Formations
