In Thursday’s 118-109 win over the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks Shooting Guard Donte DiVincenzo made NBA history. He became only the 10th player in league history to make 275 or more three-pointers in a season. He joins a list that includes future Hall of Famers Stephen Curry, James Harden, and Klay Thompson. DiVincenzo is having a career year with the Knicks as he is shooting a career-best three-point percentage (40.4 percent) and a career-high in points per game at 15.4.
Will he be able to continue his stellar play in the NBA Playoffs as the Knicks set their sights on a deep playoff run?

DiVincenzo was drafted 17th overall in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks out of Villanova. He had an outstanding college career that included two NCAA National Championships (2016, 2018) and being named the Most Outstanding Player for the 2018 NCAA Tournament. The two-time college champion added to his trophy case by winning the 2021 NBA title as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks.
After spending the first three years of career in Milwaukee, he spent time with both the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors. The Villanova product signed a four-year $50 million contract with the Knicks this NBA Offseason.
DiVincenzo is averaging 10.5 points per game on 37.6 percent shooting from downtown in his career.
Donte DiVincenzo Has NY In Prime Playoff Position
The Knicks (48-32) enter the final two games of the 2024 regular season as the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference. They currently sit just one game back of the Milwaukee Bucks for the second seed. NY has a great chance at their first 50-win season 2012-2013 with their final two games being at Madison Square Garden against the Brooklyn Nets and Chicago Bulls.
New York made it to the Eastern Conference Semifinals last season for the first time since 2013 but is looking for their first trip to the Eastern Conference Finals since the turn of the century. DiVincenzo along with former college teammate Jalen Brunson will have the eyes of the NBA world upon them when the playoffs tipoff in just over a week.
