Dana White Discusses the Great Future of Conor McGregor After His Injury

Dana White about the Future of Conor McGregor

Dana White announced that Conor McGregor is out from the UFC 303. The fans of the Notorious and the UFC president were eager to see the champion fight in UFC 303 but it would not be possible because of the Injury the fighter is facing. The details about the injury are being kept secret despite being a matter that needs to be discussed and expressed to fans and the public.

The MMA head states that it would be right for fighters like Jon Jones and the southpaw to take a break or retire because these guys have already proven themselves to be the best. Also, they are the legends of their time who have fought the beasts of their times.

Dana White Not Forcing Anyone to Fight

Dana White not Forcing any Fighter

The CEO of the UFC said that he never pressures someone to fight again and again who has proved himself the best fighter of all time. Dana White was already questioned if the fighter would return after his leg injury in 2021 but this time it did not concern Dana at all as the champ has proved himself the legend of his time.

This proves that the Irishman might be near his retirement as Dana White does not force anyone to fight as long as they have proved themselves and are legends of their time.

Jim Rome Asking Dana White About UFC Exit

Dana White in Press Conference

Dana White was asked by Jim Rome about the retirement of the former Champion. He stated that someone like him is not dependent on Fighting in UFC as he has plenty of money. Talking about the Notorious and Jon Jones they have proved themselves and there is no need for them to fight for the living. The MMA top man used the words on Jim Rome’s show when asked if perhaps we’ve seen the last of McGregor already:

That’s a great question, Conor’s going to be 36 in July. He’s got plenty of money. I don’t ever think that guys like that, Jon Jones, who knows, maybe he’ll fight again, maybe he won’t. Conor McGregor, maybe he’ll fight again, maybe he won’t. You never know with some of the guys that get to that level. You never know if you’re ever going to see them again.

The other thing with getting older…you get injured a lot easier, you get hurt a lot easier. More injuries happen than did when you were younger, and you’re less willing to step in there with an injury than when you were young and hungry and broke.

Nature of Business Shown in Dana White

McGregor might be retiring and it is sad to see that he is not going to fight in UFC 303, Dana White did not show any signs of Sadness as it is part of the business. The reason for not showing any sadness by Dana White might be the growing age of the champion as there are greater chances for the legend to get injured and have serious health issues. He elaborated:

It happens. The things with me is, once I start to get these guys that are older, you get the guys that have cemented their legacies and make their money and done their things, the Jon Jones’ the Connor McGregor’s, these guys, I’m never very optimistic as it is. Listen, I’m in the fight buisnes. I’ve got to put on fights every Saturday. When those type of guys show up, it’s fun, but I run the business.

Dana White does not worry about fighters like the Notorious Champion and Jon Jones because, at the end of the day, it’s all about the business Dana White is running.
