Dan Hooker faced several difficulties in his UFC career he has also achieved a great rebound. Since coming up short to UFC lightweight king Islam Makhachev and then to prospect Arnold Allen, he has come through with three victories. Hooker’s rivalry with these fighters is increasing from time to time. Let’s dive into the story to learn about their tough rivalry.

Over the past few months, there have been some serious social media tirades between Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler. Both have drawn each other on social media platforms engaging in a war of words on who had the better win against him. About these interventions, Hooker realized it was about time for him to go public.
Later in an interview with Combat TV, Dan Hooker slammed both Poirier and Chandler for the excessive showboating they do on social media. he said this is because Poirier and Chandler had beaten him when he was not fully prepared and could only train under poor conditions, he shared that:
“Chandler and Poirier are bragging about beating me online, and it’s like, bro, you’re bragging about beating me on 3 weeks’ notice while I was training in my garage, Hooker said. “Don’t say my name unless you’re going to run it back—keep my name out of your mouth unless you want to fight me again because I’m coming for all of them, anyone above me, I’m coming for the lot of them.”
Dan Hooker emphasized that while he doesn’t hold a grudge against Poirier or Chandler, he’s not pleased with his name being used in their social media exchanges unless they are prepared to face him in the Octagon again. He was confident that he could take both of them this time by saying that:
“If they want to brag about it, they can fight me again,” Hooker stated. “If you don’t want to fight me again, then shut up about my name, and I’ll skip past you. I’ll leave you be and then that’s it, but unless Chandler and Poirier want to fight me again, just chill.”
Dan Hooker is confident he’s ready to take on Poirier and Chandler again. He’s irritated that his former opponents keep mentioning his name in their videos, especially since he wasn’t fully prepared when they first fought. Dan Hooker is eager to prove himself and set the record straight. He insisted if they wanted to keep talking about him, they shall prepare for a rematch.
Hooker’s Future Plans
This success may see him move into a big fight. Since he is a trainer, the UFC may give him tough opponents that he will face and defeat thereby enhancing his capacity in the lightweight division. All in all, Dan Hooker is very willing to let go of the rivalry with Poirier and Chandler unless the two are ready to fight him one more time. His recent performances and especially direct threats speak about his desire to ascend the rankings and firmly establish himself as one of the best.
