Catholic University Spring Track 2026 Has Fantastic Susquehanna Multis Meet For Decathletes and Heptathletes

Catholic University track and field athletes competed at the Susquehanna Multis on April 9 and 10. This was a special event for multi-sports athletes like decathletes and heptathletes. Therefore, only a subset of athletes competed. Nevertheless, several personal bests and program records were set.

The future of the decathlon and heptathlon events at Catholic University is strong. There were several star performers at this meet. Worthy of being singled out are Drew Madden, Lauryn Pearson, Pauline Kennedy, and Kate Quashne. Quashne is a sophomore, but Madden, Pearson, and Kennedy are all freshmen. Catholic University At Susquehanna Multis

The Catholic University athletes who competed at the Susquahanna Multi Meet on April 9 and 10 did very well. Madden earned 5,880 points in the decathlon and received the program’s best score. This is the eighth-best score in Landmark Conference history.

On the women’s side, Kennedy scored 3,202 points. That was the fourth-best total in program history and the 10th-best score in the history of the conference. Quashne scored a total of 2,731 points. That was the sixth-best score in school history.

Drew Madden

Madden is just a freshman at Catholic University, but has been tearing it up all year. In many ways, his performance was likely his strongest yet. Not only was his score in the decathlon the highest in program history, but it was also the eighth-best in conference history. He just keeps getting better.

Madden is from Alexandria, Virginia. In high school, he ran varsity track at Bishop Ireton High School. He was a two-time Adidas All-American. He was also a two-time All-Conference selection, and he broke 12 school records.

Pauline Kennedy

Kennedy is a freshman from New York at Catholic University. She now owns the fourth-best heptathlon total in program history, and the 10th-best in conference history. However, she also just completed a fantastic high school career.

She was a Track & Field MVP at Cooperstown and won the Sportsmanship Award. A multisport athlete, she holds two high school swimming records.

Kate Queshane

Quashne is the elder statesman of the quartet. She is a sophomore at Catholic University. She is from Delaware and went to high school at the Ursuline Academy. As a freshman, she placed 14th in the triple jump with a personal record jump of 9.88 meters at the conference championships.

She was in 16th place in the long jump at the Landmark Outdoor Championships with a jump of 4.79 meters, which was a personal record. She was also 16th in the high jump at the Landmark Indoor Championships. She was 15th in the pentathlon at the Patriot Games, with 1,437 points.
