Catholic University 2026 Winter Track Successfully Competes at the Coach I Invite at Franklin and Marshall College
Catholic University’s winter track and field successfully competed at the Coach I Invitational at Franklin and Marshall College. Several of their athletes set personal records.The Personal Records for the Catholic University athletes were set in the track and field events. The team is building toward the winter championships, which take place on March 13, in Alabama.

Male Results
Calvin Hernandez qualified 60 meter finals, where he also placed second with a time of 7.04 seconds. Hernandez also placed fifth with a time of 23.61 in the 200 meters. Romell Randolph was 21st in that race with a time of 24.10.
Catholic University was also very successful in the 3000-meter race. Richard Harrington earned a new personal best with his sixth-place finish. Freshman Tim Sweeney was eleventh with a time of 9:27.59. Three Catholic University athletes, Patrick Morris, Daniel Ponciano, and Tim Brown, finished in a row in 14th, 15th, and 16th place.
David Stango, of Catholic University, had a season best of 4:51.10 in the mile, and Shane Waring also collected a season best with a time of 4:59.81. In the relay races, 2 Catholic University teams finished with only .01 seconds separating them. The team of Sean Owens, Romell Randolph, Calvin Hernandez, and Emmanuel Olarewaju edged the relay team consisting of Colin Matthews, Augustine Howard, Marco Indelicato, and Gabe Devaney.
Catholic University also did well in the field events. Caden Lopez threw the weight 12.05 meters, a new personal best. Adrian Villatoro was third in the long jump, also with a personal best. Brandon Hancock got a season-best jump of 5.99 meters and an eighth-place finish. Quinn Brubaker jumped seventh of 22 athletes.
Female Results
Both Erin Buckley and Kourtney Clipper qualified for the 60-meter finals for Catholic University. Buckley was, and Clipper was eighth. In the 60-meter hurdle finals, Catholic University’s Edith Tomasek was seventh. She also earned a personal best in the high jump and finished seventh.
Kourtney Clipper was seventh in the 200-meter dash, placing seventh of fifty-seven runners and placed seventh out of 57 runners. Mia McConnell was close behind with a ninth. Erin Buckley and Zoey Brown finished in twelfth and thirteenth, as Catholic University had four athletes run.
In the mile, Erin Roche was the fastest Cardinal finisher in 23rd place. Olivia Sobkowicz placed third in the 3000-meter and was the second Division III runner. Alexa Grassi was fourth in the 400, just 1 second off her personal best. Riley Walsh had a season-best and a sixth-place finish.
The 4×400 team, Zoey Brown, Mia McConnell, Alicia Vo, and Riley Walsh, was placed seventh of 19 relay teams. Bethany Riddle had a personal best in the weight throw. In shot put, Caroline Welsh placed ninth out of 42 throwers with her throw of 10.71m.
Kaelyn Boodlal earned a personal best in the event with a distance of 8.98m. Maggie McNulty also earned a personal best with her throw of 9.34m. The field results were also successful for Catholic University. In the high jump, Lauryn Pearson was eighth (with a distance of 1.45 meters), and Alicia Vo jumped 1.40m.
Chloe Dodd was third in pole vault with a mark of 3.03 meters. This places her in third in the program record books. Maija Adams finished sixth and also entered the record books with her personal best pole vault distance of 2.88 meters.
