Bellarmine No Match For Ohio State Women in 90-33 Loss
Bellarmine was no match for the Lady Buckeyes, who won this game 90-33. The team is now 2-0 and travels to Storrs to take on the top-ranked University of Connecticut Lady Huskies. That will be a test for the Lady Buckeyes; the game against Bellarmine was not.

Bellarmine Loses To the Ohio State Women
The starters for the Lady Buckeyes against Bellarmine were Jaloni Cambridge, Chance Gray, Kennedy Cambridge, Kylee Kitts, and Elsa Lemmilä. Ohio State Coach Jacie Hoyt said Sunday, “Some years we kind of settle into a lineup really early. I think that’s the right lineup for right now, and we’ll kind of see how it evolves, because with so many newcomers, things could change. But that was the right one, I think, for today.”
Against Coppin State, the Cambridge sisters dominated both offensively and defensively. Jaloni Cambridge led all scorers with 23 points while Kennedy Cambridge had seven steals, a block, and countless deflections. She filled up the stat sheet. Gray had 17 points, and the interior duo of Lemmilä and Kitts were formidable for most of the game. The Lady Buckeyes were hoping for a similar effort in the game against Bellarmine.
No bench performance overshadowed the starting five in the game against Coppin State, and all 11 had minutes in the first quarter to prove their place in the rotation. This was the same against Bellarmine. Senior Guard T’yana Todd, the player with the strongest resume to get into the starting lineup, had 5 points and 2 rebounds in 16 minutes. The deep sharpshooter had only two three-point attempts and hit one.
The Lady Buckeyes were strong in the game against Coppin State in the paint. However, Bellarmine has height and experience with sisters Hana and Hava Abdel Aal, both Egyptian National Team members. However, due to an injury, Hana Abdel Aal has not played this season, and Hava Abdel Aal is in her first season of NCAA basketball. It will not be a like-for-like matchup, but Bellarmine will challenge Ohio State inside more than Coppin State did on Sunday.

This game, for the Lady Buckeyes, was basically an exhibition. The dominant win gave the Buckeyes a chance to play some of their bench players. Kayce Hyman was the leading scorer for Bellarmine. She had 8 points.
