Ace Bailey Declares for the 2025 NBA Draft
Ace Bailey, the projected No. 3 overall pick, has officially declared for the 2025 NBA Draft, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. He had a great freshman season at Rutgers University, and fellow freshman Dylan Harper declared for the NBA draft. Ace Bailey is one of those forwards who can do many things on the court that are required in the league at his position. Let’s look at his 2024-25 season at Rutgers to see what kind of prospect he can be in this upcoming draft.
Ace Bailey 2024-25 Season in Review
Ace Bailey averaged 17.6 points per game, 7.2 rebounds per game, and 1.3 blocks per game during his freshman year at Rutgers. This past season, he was named to the All-Big Ten Freshman and Third Team All-Big Ten. Yes, the Scarlet Knights did struggle this season as a team, but Harper and he were the major story of that Rutgers team this past season because of their talent on the court. He will be a great prospect for someone in this draft. Especially, if the team is looking for a power forward who can be a great rim protector with a versatile game on the offensive end.
Final Thoughts
The prize of this draft is Duke’s Cooper Flagg, but Bailey is also a top prize as a player who will step in on Day One to help an NBA team out, as this 2025 NBA Draft class is probably the most hyped in a long while, because of players like Bailey, Harper, Flagg, VJ Edgecombe, etc. In my humble opinion, this year’s NBA Draft class is miles better than the NFL Draft QB class because of the shocking number of top talent, 1-10.
But looking at this draft from top to bottom, it’s better than the NFL Draft. That’s because of Players like Bailey, as I think Bailey is going to be a solid player in the NBA, and this was the right move for him to make for his career. Total Apex Sports will have more stories like this one throughout the rest of the year.
