Reigning Calder Memorial Trophy winner Connor Bedard is also going to play on the top line with two new linemates who are both offseason signings. How will the team look in their first action of the season?

The Team That Will Be Taking The Ice

An Important Year for Taylor Hall

Taylor Hall is entering a massive season for his career, he’s expected to play in the Chicago Blackhawks preseason opener and he’s very excited to do so.“In the last, I don’t know, 14-16 months, I’ve played 10 games, so I can’t wait to play games and be a hockey player again. Even an exhibition game is going to feel like something I haven’t done in a long time. That’s exciting.”

Chicago Blackhawks Head Coach Luke Richardson had plenty of praise and expectations for Hall this upcoming season.

“He’s all business right now, just the way we want to conduct ourselves as a team and he’s driving that pace out there. That’s the way he likes to play. I remember him in New Jersey being the MVP of the League (he won the Hart Trophy in 2017-18) and that’s the way he played. We’re expecting him fully healthy to kind of continue getting to where he was just getting to when he got injured unfortunately in the early part of November.”

Taylor Hall is entering the last year of the contract he signed with the Boston Bruins, a four-year 24 million contract with a six million AAV. Hall was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks from the Boston Bruins. The Chicago Blackhawks also received forward Nick Foligno for defensemen Ian Mitchell and Alec Regula. Nick Foligno is now the Chicago Blackhawks Captain. Seth Jones and Connor Murphy remain Assistant Captains for the 2024-2025 Season.
