Chelsea Under Enzo Maresco Makes Fulham Star’s Signing Official

Chelsea have already completed a huge new signing under the realm of the new manager, Endo Marezco. The new gaffer didn’t’ waste any time in trying to make his mark on the football club after just penning a deal that sees him in charge of the Blues for the 2024-2025 season.

The club had their sights set on a few players in the off-season to help bolster ranks, and Endo was able to capture one who will help them break into the top four in the Premier League this year.

Chelsea Signed Defender from Fulham

One of the most highly lauded defenders in the game right now, Tosin Adarabioyo, signed a four-year contract with Chelsea last week, making him the official first signing under the recently appointed manager in London. The young and talented defender can play anywhere in the backline and slot in where necessary, although center back seems like the ideal choice for this new player at Stamford Bridge.

Fulham announced this past Tuesday that Tosin would not be returning to their club – but skeptics weren’t sure if Endo could get Tosin to come to Chelsea or what he had been promised by the board in terms of contractual agreements.

It turns out Chelsea offered just enough, as Tosin Adarabioyo signed the other day for the Blues

‘Chelsea is a huge club and this is a full-circle moment for me. I was born three miles away from Stamford Bridge and made my professional debut there for Manchester City. I’m here to win. I want to win. It’s as simple as that really.’

For Fulham, he was a stalwart defender who helped the team keep out goals, made tackles, and distributed the ball well. He has made 132 appearances for his old club in all competitions after joining the squad back in 2020, showing how his fitness, consistency, and healthy physique can translate to longevity on the soccer pitch.

Chelsea Looking Forward

Chelsea is hoping to end up better than they did last year in the 2023-2024 Premier League season, coming in sixth place just ahead of Newcastle and just behind Tottenham. However, winning the FA Cup means they were able to secure a place in international football for next year, keeping some players on the team who maybe we’re consider moving elsewhere.

They ended the season on a better note than they did in the beginning, winning big games like 5-0 to West Ham and 2-0 to Tottenham to round out the year. However, they need to avoid losing matches 6-0 like they did to Arsenal or falling short against the top-three sides in the Premier League.

That is where new signings like Tosin can come in handy. He can bring experience, calmness, and strength to the defending line to keep the ball out of the goal and distribute it to midfielders, like Cole Palmer, Enzo Fernandez, Mudryk, and Gallagher. We hope to see Jackson, Nkunku, and Sterling score more goals this year for the Blues, too.

And with a new manager in charge, Enzo Maresca, the Blues have a shot of breaking into the top five, or top three, in the Premier League table for 2024-2025. Maresca has a track record of winning, as he won the UEFA Cup twice with Sevilla and was the assistant manager for Manchester City during their 2023 treble-winning season.
