80 Days Until The Winter Olympics: Jason Kelce Powers Celebrity Buzz At Curling Trials In Sioux Falls
Perhaps the Marriott spokesperson bit allows Jason Kelce the freedom to make many unexpected road trips each year. Perhaps he enjoys the changing weather of the north. Or perhaps he was eyeing his future athletic endeavor.
Whatever the reason, Kelce stuck out like, well, a football, podcast, commercial and broadcast star at last week’s U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Sioux Falls, SD.
Kelce and his wife, Kylie, were seen and photographed and filmed by many at Denny Sanford Premier Center. The couple were mere fans at the event, but drew a lot of attention.
Extra – Extra: There Was a Kelce Sighting

The U.S. Olympic Curling Team Trials in Sioux Falls crowned the Men’s Champion, led by Daniel Casper. Team Casper upset the reigning champion Team Shuster, which had an incredible 20-year streak of representing the United States at the Winter Olympics stretching back to 2006.
Team Peterson, led by the steady hand of skip Tabitha Peterson, won the Women’s U.S. Olympic Curling Trials championship.
Not to take anything away from Casper or Peterson, but neither are likely to draw a crowd, a stare or even a glance if they walked down Times Square.
Kelce, meanwhile, is a star gathering all kinds of looks and pictures no matter where he goes. Which is what happened while he was a mere spectator mid-week at Curling events. The sighting was big news in Sioux Falls.
The local media wrote the following:
Jason was even seen hanging out with sports fans in the stands. Needless to say, everyone was excited to see this future Hall of Fame Football Star….
Well…”not gonna lie,” but this celebrity sighting takes Sioux Falls to “new heights!” Way to go, Sioux Falls and the Sioux Falls Sports Authority, for hosting a wonderful event for everyone! And congratulations to all Curling Teams representing Team USA at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympic Games!
About Your Brother’s Wedding…

The play on words is clever, since wife Kylie has a podcast called “Mama Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie.” Of course most know that Jason and his (kind of) more famous brother Travis have a podcast named “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce.”
In fact, in a podcast last year Jason and Travis discussed what Olympic sport they think could be in their future. The answer: Curling.
Perhaps that is why Kelce was there, getting a reality check on his chances for the 2030 Winter Olympics. Or, perhaps, it was for promotional events, as reported by local media, when they took a break from gushing over the star that was in the house.
And why not? Doesn’t Kelce seem like the frat house dude everyone wants to hang out with? If my town was going to throw a party, and Kelce showed up, it would be a super cool opportunity to ask about an “in” to his brother’s wedding with Taylor Swift…or a million other topics. Or maybe just swap friendship bracelets and call it a day.
