Ali Abdelaziz is the manager of Belal Muhammad and Kamaru Usman. He had an interview with MMA Fighting, where he revealed the news about the upcoming rival of Muhammad. First of all, he confirmed that the Welterweight champion is already preparing and willing to fight before the year ends.
There are a lot of other exciting fights coming up in UFC 308 and UFC 309, like the fight of Jones vs. Miocic and Strickland vs. Dricus, so Muhammad will have to choose his time wisely. If the fight takes place in December, Muhammad will take part in the UFC 310, which is scheduled for December 7 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Ali Abdelaziz About Belal Muhammad
Two fighters may fight Muhammad in upcoming events. The first one is Shavkat Rakhmonov, who is the undefeated fighter of all time and has been challenging Belal for a long time. The second potential opponent is Kamaru Usman, who has been trashtalking Belal for some time now. But it does not matter who will fight next because they both will fight Muhammad one after the other if he wins.
Ali Abdelaziz also clarified this in these words: “Belal is ready to go in December. No problem. We’re ready to go, but the UFC has to announce. I can’t be announcing a fight on your podcast. Most likely you’re going to see for sure Belal in December. Against who, where, and when, this is a Dana White question. It can be Shavkat Rakhmonov. It can be Kamaru Usman. It can be whatever the UFC wants. I said if you’re the champ, you have to defend the title against whoever they’re going to give you. It doesn’t matter who.”
Ali Abdelaziz talks about Trash Talking
As we know, there is some heavy trashtalking going on between Belal Muhammad and Usman. Some people might try to drag their mutual manager Abdelaziz into this, but he clarified already that he would not take part in any of it. Abdelaziz clarified the job of a manager, and he has to make sure that the needs of his fighters are fulfilled. And most importantly, he has to make sure that they are healthy and that both end up with more cash at the end.
Ali Abdelaziz said this to hype up the fight: “Kamaru is one of my best friends, and my brother, Belal is my brother, I love both of these guys. At the end of the day, two alpha males. Kamaru has held this crown for a long time, and Belal has earned the crown. He’s the king now. Kamaru believes he can still be the king. I think these guys don’t respect each other too much, to be honest with you. You can pretty much see these guys fight in the future for sure. I think one of the biggest fights in the welterweight division is Kamaru vs. Belal. It’s not even close. Nobody even close.”
Final Thoughts
If you have been following Belal Muhammad for some time, you would know that he made a statement sometime before the title shot that he would never dodge a fight after he becomes the champion. Shavkat Rakhmonov recently challenged him for thefight,t but he had a different reaction than expected.
Belal Muhammad promoted the fight of Shavkat Rakhmonov vs. Kamaru Usman. He wants to fight the winner of this fight. He also criticized the Uzbek fighter for being out of the Octagon for a long time. These statements made the intentions of Belal Muhammad a little bit unclear. But everything will be clarified once UFC 310 is scheduled. What are your thoughts about the upcoming fight of Belal Muhammad?
