Liverpool fans can breathe a sigh of relief after one of their key attackers stated that he plans to stay at the club for the foreseeable future. After Jurgen Klopp announced his departure and had his last game in charge of the Reds at Anfield, the fans were hoping that nobody would also leave the club.
Fortunately for the die-hard fans, other teammates, and new coach, Arne Slot, one of the top Liverpool attackers has pledged his future to the club, stating he is happy and relaxed in his current position.
Liverpool Attacker to Stay at Club
One of the most influential Liverpool attackers is set to stay at the club, even after his previous coach, Klopp, has retired from his duty. Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian wonder winger who has already cemented himself as a legend of the club, has said that he will stay in England for at least one more year.
The captain of the club has stated that he will stay in Liverpool and looks forward to working with the new manager, ex-Feyenoord gaffer, Slot. Mohamed Salah even turned down a super lucrative $ 150+ million deal from the Saudi Pro League, which would surely have been one of the top transfer deals in the history of the game.
If Salah has turned down this expensive trade and purchase deal, this pledges his loyalty to his current club. Salah wants to continue playing at a high level and enjoys working with his teammates in the English Premier League.
Even though he is over 30 years old, he is not showing any signs of slowing down. He scored 25 goals in 44 games this year for his side, scoring 18 Premier League goals for Liverpool that helped temperature third place and challenge for the trophy.
Salah has only one year left on his contract, but fans can be thrilled that he is not voiding his contract early to go to Al-Ittihad in Saudi. He might go eventually once he gets older, but for now, he will stay in Liverpool with Alexander Arnold and Virgil Van Dijk, instead of joining the likes of Benzema and Mahrez in Saudi Arabia.
Despite Klopp leaving, Salah will stay in England. He thanked his coach for all of his dedication and hard work over the years.
‘It was great sharing all those trophies and experiences with you over the past seven years. I wish you the best of luck for the future and hope we meet again.’
Mohamed Salah at Liverpool FC
Liverpool is one of the biggest clubs in the entire world, especially in the United Kingdom in the Premier League. And Slash has cemented himself as a legend of the game, arguably the best Egyptian player to ever exist, and one of the most exciting wingers at the club.
Pundits, commentators, and coaches think that Salah will stay at Liverpool because he has a good rapport with the club, he enjoys his teammates, and he is on a good salary. If he ends up not liking the new coach once he joins, he could always have a mid-season transfer to the Saudi Pro League in the winter transfer window in January.
Liverpool can easily see themselves break into the top three again in the league considering their number one guy in the front line has returned for another year.
