RB Leipzig is one of the top teams in the German Bundesliga, containing some of the most talented players currently circulating in the footballing world. It is no wonder that Premier League sides have set their sights on acquiring young talents from the Bundesliga, like Bayern Munich, Stuttgart, and RB Leipzig, to bolster their squads and add more depth going into the new EPL year.
One of the main players who teams are looking at is Benjamin Sesko. Will he leave his current team in Germany, or will he head to England to try his luck in a new league and new country? It seems as though he may have already made his mind up.
Sesko to Stay at RB Leipzig?
Arsenal, United, and Chelsea are all interested in purchasing this talented player from RB Leipzig to bolster their team going into the new season. Sesko is a top target for many clubs around the world, including teams in Ligue 1 in France, La Liga in Spain, and the Portuguese Premier League.
Sesko had a great first year in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig, scoring in the last seven appearances with the club. However, just because he ended the season with a bang, this doesn’t mean he was exceptional for the entire season. He ended well, but his inconsistency throughout the year shows his young age and lack of versatility on the pitch.
Sesko was still figuring out how to play in the Bundesliga at the end of the year. He was used to the speed and style of the Austrian league, which is miles away from the physicality and speed of the German Bundesliga. Although he performed well for RB Leipzig, he still needed some time to adjust to his off-the-ball movement, capability, full-game performance, and consistent scoring and assisting as a midfielder.
Despite his inconsistencies, Arsenal, United, and Chelsea are still interested in the promising youngster. They are considering purchasing him from the German side to bolster the likes of Kai Havertz at Arsenal, the scoring machine who came from Chelsea FC and found his footing with the Gunners.
Arsenal are also looking for a reliable backup and speedy winger who can fill in for Jesus or Trossard during times of injury or rest. If they can’t secure Sesko from RB Leipzig, Arsenal FC could turn their sights toward Pedro Neto, the 24-year-old who performed extremely well for Wolves this season in the PL.
Another player who Arsenal FC is looking to acquire if Sesko isn’t interested in leaving RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga is Nico Williams, the 21-year-old winger from Spain who has 11 goals in 31 matches for his club. He will also look to perform this summer in the Euros to increase his potential earnings in the future.
United Might Need a New Winger
Manchester United wants a new winger and attacker, which is why Sesko from RB Leipzig is the ideal replacement for Martial. Although Martial had limited minutes for the Red Devils this past year, he was technically the only Number 9 that Erik Ten Hag had acquired for the Merseyside team this past season.
Now, Hojlund is the only potential goal scorer for the side, fed by midfielders like Fernandes and Casemiro. If United could get Sesko, they could bolster their attacking presence on the pitch and score more goals – something that was needed for the team this past season.
