Roman Reigns Wins the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble Match
The 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble match saw 30 wrestlers fighting for the chance to main event Wrestlemania. Roman Reigns was able to do just that, winning the Royal Rumble match. This was an intriguing decision by WWE to make the Original Tribal Chief the winner of this match on the Road to Wrestlemania, but let’s take a closer look at what happened and what is in store.
Roman Reigns Wins the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble Match

Roman Reigns may have been vocal about the current state of WWE on The Pat McAfee Show, but he was able to win the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble match. This is the second time in his legendary WWE career he has won the match, also winning the 2015 edition of this match. Reigns will now be able to select which championship he wants to wrestle for at Wrestlemania.
Currently, Drew McIntyre and CM Punk are the major champions in WWE, which likely leads to Punk being his choice. Roman Reigns would win the match, eliminating five men along the way. Below are the wrestlers he eliminated:
- Logan Paul
- The Miz
- Jey Uso
- Jacob Fatu
- Gunther
The final four of the match were Reigns, Paul, Randy Orton, and Gunther. Reigns would last eliminate Gunther to win the match. It is going to be intriguing to see how the Road to Wrestlemania plays out, as it seems we could have gotten to a Roman Reigns championship match at Wrestlemania without the Royal Rumble being part of it.
We still have time to see which championship he will be going after, and what the plans are for the card. With Reigns not being on WWE television most weeks, having him miss extended periods of time between now and his title match would make things a lot less interesting. Which championship will he attempt to claim at Wrestlemania 42?
