Houston Texans Win Wild Game At Home Against the Las Vegas Raiders
The Houston Texans win at home against the Las Vegas Raiders and climb to 10-5 on the season, clinging to the wild card spot in the AFC. Derek Stingley Jr opened the scoring in this game with an interception return for a touchdown. The Texans won 23-21 over the Raiders, winning their seventh game in a row.
Houston Texans Hang on at Home
Quarterback C.J. Stroud was 23 of 35 and threw for 187 yards and a touchdown. Stroud did not look impressive this afternoon. He had three missed throws, with the last one caused by pressure. But he hasn’t been super accurate in 2025.
The Houston Texans’ defense has been the one scoring more points than the offense these days. The Texans now have four players in their secondary with four interceptions this season: Stingley, Jalen Pitre, Kamari Lassiter, and Calen Bullock. Houston Kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn made three field goals from 55, 50, and 49 yards away to put points on the board for the Texans.
The Las Vegas Raiders did not score their first touchdown until the second quarter, with Ashton Jeanty catching and running into the endzone. Jeanty also had a rushing touchdown, running for 128 yards. Quarterback Geno Smith was 16-of-23 for 201 yards, 2 touchdowns, and an interception.
Houston Texans Keep Playoff Pace
The Houston Texans keep on finding ways to win, even if they are not pretty. The Texans are in the AFC wild card spot with a record of 10-5, and have won seven games in a row. The Texans will finish out the season against the Chargers and Colts.
The Houston Texans have the best defense in the league that will carry them into the playoffs, but the Houston offense will have to step it up to make it far.
