Joe Hendry Appears at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event
We may not have had a match, but Joe Hendry’s name was said and he appeared at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. There was a segment ahead of John Cena’s retirement match involving two wrestlers Cena has faced on pay-per-view and Joe Hendry. Let’s take a closer look at what happened in the ring.
Joe Hendry Appears at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

The segment began with Joe Tessitore and Stephanie McMahon getting ready to begin preparing for the retirement match of John Cena, but The Miz would interrupt in the middle of the ring. He would go on and say that he was being looked over after being a significant part of John Cena’s career and defeating him in the main event at Wrestlemania.
R-Truth would interrupt, dressed in John Cena gear and tell Miz that he saw what happened on Smackdown. He said Miz interfered with Nick Aldis’ balls and took an opportunity away from someone in the Last Time is Now Tournament. Miz would reveal which ball he replaced and the name would say Joe Hendry.
Joe Hendry would appear after his name was said. Miz and Hendry would get physical before Hendry would get a pin with Truth counting to give a happy moment for all. Was it needed on Saturday Night’s Main Event? No. Was it fun? Yes.
Joe Hendry lobbied for a match against John Cena before the retirement tour officially kicked off and never got that opportunity. This must have been a chance to give Hendry another major moment on WWE television, similar to wrestling Randy Orton at Wrestlemania.
It will be intriguing to see if this does anything for Hendry on WWE television going forward or if this teases a feud between Hendry and Miz.
