Dallas Mavericks Drop 113-111 Decision to New York Knicks
The Dallas Mavericks returned home to open a three-game homestand starting with the New York Knicks on Wednesday. The Mavericks fell 113-111 to the Knicks at the American Airlines Center. Dallas dropped to 4-12, while New York improved to 9-5.
In case you missed it, the NHL’s Dallas Stars alleged the Mavericks listed Las Vegas as the team headquarters in the legal battle between the two teams. Documents filed by the Stars on Tuesday allege the Mavericks’ owners have violated the Mavericks Franchise Agreement with the City of Dallas.

Wednesday’s game was a non-conference game, but important, nonetheless. Dallas looked to avoid a two-game losing skid, while New York sought its seventh win in nine games.
Dallas’ starting five featured Brandon Williams, Klay Thompson, Max Christie, PJ Washington, and Dereck Lively II. Dallas ruled out Kyrie Irving (knee), Dante Exum (knee), Ryan Nembhard (knee), Anthony Davis (calf), Cooper Flagg (illness), and Caleb Martin (illness).
New York’s starting five featured Jalen Brunson, Mitchell Robinson, Mikal Bridges, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Landry Shamet. New York ruled out OG Anunoby (hamstring) and listed Kevin McCullar Jr. (nose) as day-to-day.

The fourth quarter saw the two teams exchange leads and ties. Russell heated up with several buckets, while Max Christie shone with a corner three-pointer. Miles McBride got past a defender for an effortless bucket. New York won 113-111 in regulation.
