Preliminary Undercard Set For Canelo vs. Crawford Prize Fight
The six fights on the preliminary undercard of the mega main event of Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford have been announced. Those fights will begin streaming at 5:30 e.t. on Netflix’s YouTube channel. One of those fights is a rematch between Serhii Bohachuk and Brandon Adams. Another featured bout will be the undefeated 2016 Olympic bronze medalist Ivan Dycho (15-0, 14 KOs) against Jermaine Franklin (23-2, 15 KOs) in a 10-round heavyweight fight. Franklin has gone the distance against Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte, both ending in losses.Â
Biggest Fight On the Preliminary Undercard
Serhii Bohachuk (25-2, 24 KOs) will have the chance to avenge his 2021 KO loss to Brandon Adams (25-4, 16 KOs) on September 13 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, the home of the Raiders. The first meeting took place at Municipal Boxing Gym Felix Pagan Pintor in Puerto Rico as there were COVID-19 restrictions. Adams was losing on all three scorecards before earning the knockout win against the then-undefeated Bohachuk in round 8. They will be fighting in front of a much larger crowd this time.Â
UFC CEO and Zuffa Boxing’s Dana White shared that Bohachuk vs. Adams 2 is set for 10 rounds at the catchweight of 156 pounds and will join five other fights being streamed on YouTube prior to Canelo vs. Crawford on Netflix. While on Instagram Live, White said, “This a rematch of a badass fight with these two. Literally, Adams had to win the fight by knockout, and he did.”
Since losing to Adams, Bohachuk is 7-1, with that loss being by majority decision against Vergil Ortiz Jr last August, which featured two knockdowns by Bohachuk. Adams didn’t fight for three years after their last contest and went 2-1 in 2024. He enters this bout after losing by split decision to Andreas Katzourakis last November.
