New York Mets Right Fielder Juan Soto Honored For His Tremendous June
New York Mets Right Fielder Juan Soto was named the National League Player of the Month for June. He hit .322 with 11 home runs and 20 RBI last month. In June, he led the National League in OPS and Wins Above Replacement. Soto was also tied for the most runs in June.
Soto is the second Mets player this season to win Player of the Month honors. First Baseman Pete Alonso did so in April. It was the second time the franchise had two winners in a year. Keith Hernandez and Gary Carter accomplished this feat in 1985. Will the star right fielder keep playing well in July?

Soto has been one of the best players in Major League Baseball since debuting with the Washington Nationals in 2018. He is a five-time Silver Slugger, a four-time MLB All-Star, and a World Series champion(2019). He has also won a batting title and has five top-10 finishes in MVP voting.
His career has included stints with the Washington Nationals, San Diego Padres, New York Yankees, and New York Mets. The 2025 season brought with it the most pressure in the perennial all-star’s career. He signed the most lucrative contract in league history with the Mets in December 2024. He is beginning to live up to it as he found his form during June.
Final Thoughts
Soto’s July has gotten off to a slightly slower start. He is 1-of-6 at the plate. He is one of the best players in the league. His June helped him remind the league of that fact.
