Phoenix Suns and Kevin Durant’s Business Partner Negotiating Fair Possible 2025-26 Trade Situations
The Phoenix Suns and Rich Kleiman, Kevin Durant’s business partner, are currently sorting through trades according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. Charania is reporting that the interested teams include Houston, San Antonio, Minnesota, Miami, and New York. He is currently the BIG FISH of this offseason to this point, until a potential Giannis trade request gets official. So, the following teams being interested in Durant’s services is no surprise, as all of them would be considered title contenders if they get him. Here’s my breakdown of the Durant situation.
Phoenix Needs the Best Package Possible For Durant
The Suns need to just move on from Durant at this point, but they need to have the best package so they can move forward with a potential rebuild with their newly minted, fresh, inexperienced head coach, Jordan Ott. KD himself also needs this move because he wants to win another title before it’s all said and done, obviously, and he and his team feel that the teams that were listed in the intro are the best spots for him to do it.
Final Thoughts
Those teams in the West, I definitely could see benefiting from a KD trade, especially the Spurs and Timberwolves. Houston can also benefit if they don’t get rid of Sengun in a potential Durant deal. Meanwhile, the two Eastern Conference teams need more work around a KD trade, especially New York, because the depth will be destroyed in a Durant trade for both, but mainly New York.
Phoenix and KD’s Team will keep working on a potential trade throughout the next couple of weeks until the Offseason officially begins in July, when moves can be officially processed and done by then, but my prediction is that he will be traded during the NBA Draft in a couple of weeks as I think KD will be a San Antonio Spur or a Minnesota Timberwolve.
