Cleveland Browns select Workhorse RB Quinshon Judkins with Pick 36
The Cleveland Browns get their lead back of the future with Quinshon Judkins from Ohio State at pick 36 of the 2nd round for the 2025 NFL Draft. He can be a three-down player for the Dawg Pound, as he splits carries with TreVeyon Henderson as a Buckeye, but he was kept fresh in his collegiate career.

The 21-year-old instantly becomes the starting that can rotate in with Jerome Ford. Judkins is a nice fit as a Nick Chubb replacement, who also offers speed and pass-catching ability, as well as who can be lined up out wide or just be a weapon out of the backfield. His main skillset is bringing the thunder as a power back. The Buckeye can be the down-to-down grinder for those tough yards while having the ability to take it to the house.
The junior at 6’0″ and 221 lbs has the size, ran a 4.48 40-yard dash, so has the speed, and has the collegiate production to handle a big workload. The transfer from the Ole Miss Rebels has had over 1,000 yards all three seasons in college and fits in with Cleveland’s weather, especially with the type of style he runs.
Final Thoughts
Judkins gives the Browns a running back they haven’t had since Chubb and has 3,785 career rushing yards off 739 carries and 50 total touchdowns. Also adds some receiving skillset, with 442 career receiving yards and averages 5.3 yards from scrimmage on any play. The other running backs taken before were Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty to the Las Vegas Raiders at six overall and North Carolina’s Omarion Hampton at pick 22 to the Los Angeles Chargers.
Getting a three-down back while preparing for the future at quarterback was a good selection at the top of day two of the 2025 NFL Draft with their second 2nd round pick. The Browns took defensive tackle Mason Graham at five and linebacker Carson Schwesinger at pick 33.
