Miami Dolphins Select Michigan DL Kenneth Grant With 13th Overall Pick
The Miami Dolphins have the 13th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Dolphins are slated to make 10 picks in the draft before making any further trades during the three days. The Dolphins have speed and torching defenses ever since coach Mike McDaniel arrived at the head coach’s helm. Â With running backs that matched that skillset, Miami resembles more of a track team than one typically seen on the gridiron.
Miami Dolphins Take Kenneth Grant With the 13th Overall Pick
The Miami Dolphins selected Defensive tackle from Michigan State, Kenneth Grant. A second-team all-Big Ten selection, Grant started 12 games in his final season for Michigan, totaling 32 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, and five pass breakups. Grant played in 41 games (17 starts) over three seasons for the Wolverines.
He recorded 69 tackles (including 11.5 for loss), 6.5 sacks, an interception, 12 passes defended, and three fumble recoveries. This is the second time the Miami Dolphins have gone defense in the past two drafts, this year and last year, with Chop Robinson from Penn State.
Grant’s mom has called him the “gentle giant,” but I’m sure offensive linemen will not think of him as gentle by any means. Grant is 6 feet 4 and 331 lbs. He is the defensive tackle the Miami Dolphins will need to disrupt offenses.
Final Thoughts
The Dolphins selected Kenneth Grant with the 13th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. They will look for him to play alongside Chop Robinson to disrupt the pass rush of opponents’ teams’ offenses and quarterbacks. Grant will make a great impact for the Miami Dolphins with his big frame and size. The Miami Dolphins will look ahead to building off this first-round pick to help improve the defense.
