The Pacers Took Control Of The Bucks With A 2-0 Lead
The Indiana Pacers and Milwaukee Bucks play game two of the NBA Playoffs tonight. The Pacers look to keep the pressure on the Bucks but Damien Lillard and company look to even things up. This will be Lillard’s first action since the second week of March he looks to be the Bucks second scoring option something the Bucks were missing in game one. Here’s a look at what happened in game two.
First Half
The first points of game two would go to the Pacers, with Aaron Nesmith hitting a three from 23 feet out with the assistance of Haliburton. They would not stop there, going on an 8-0 Run to start the game. The Bucks would get on the board when Brooke Lopez makes a cutting dunk to make it 8-2 at the 10:13 mark of quarter one. The Pacers would eventually have a 30-16 advantage at the 4:43 mark of quarter one. The Bucks would battle back to only be down by ten at the end of quarter one with a 40-30 score.
The Bucks started scoring in the second quarter, with Bobby Portis Jr. making a 25-foot three with the assistance of Kevin Porter Jr. The Pacers would start pulling away in the middle of the second quarter at 7:30. Haliburton hits a three to make it a 53-38 game. The Bucks would use the rest of the second quarter to cut into that lead by halftime, scoring 68-60. Which team would come out swinging in quarter three lets find out.
Second Half of Game 2
The second half would start the same way the first half started, with Nesmith hitting a three-point shot from 24 feet and Siakam dishing the assist. The Pacers would quickly make it a 13-point game with the first two shots of the second half. The Bucks would cut into the lead, but the Pacers would storm back to stop them from cutting in.
The Bucks would not go away with only 4 seconds left in the third. Bobby Portis Jr. hits a three-pointer at the buzzer to make it a 99-87 game at the end of three. The fourth quarter started, and the Bucks would score the first points of the last quarter. The Pacers would keep at least an eight point lead for most of the fourth quarter until the last four minutes of the fourth quarter.
The Bucks would eventually only be down by two points with 2:33 left in the game when Lillard hit a three-pointer from 31 feet out, making it 113-115. The Pacers would answer right back with Siakam hitting his own three from 27 feet out to make it 113-118. Andrew Nembhard would hit another three after Siakam’s to make it 121-113 with only 1:11 left in the game. The Bucks would not get any closer as the final score was 123-115.
Final Thoughts
The Pacers now control the seven-game series with a 2-0 lead over the Bucks. The next two games will be played in Milwaukee, where the Bucks hope to even the series. They have a hard task in front of them as the Pacers have led both games from start to finish, with the Bucks never leading. Stay tuned to Total Apex Media for all things NBA Playoffs.
