Philadelphia Eagles DeVonta Smith will make history on Sunday afternoon in the Divisional Round against the Los Angeles Rams. Smith is only six yards away from being the all-time Philadelphia Eagles leader in postseason receiving yards. He would pass Harold Carmichael on the list who has 465 receiving yards.
Smith had a down year due to multiple injuries that sidelined him for four games. He finished the regular season with 68 receptions, 833 receiving yards, and 8 receiving touchdowns. Smith led the way with 55 receiving yards in the Wild Card Round against the Green Bay Packers. Will Smith be able to make history as the Philadelphia Eagles eye an NFL Championship Game berth?

Philadelphia’s offense has been a much-maligned unit this season. All of the team’s issues this season have been spearheaded by Wide Receiver A.J. Brown. He called out the team’s passing game during the regular season and against the Green Bay Packers was seen reading a book on the bench. These behaviors from a star player will ratchet up the pressure on Quarterback Jalen Hurts during this postseason run.
The Philadelphia Eagles had one of the league’s best offenses during the regular season but did so without a legitimate threat from the passing attack. Philadelphia was 29th in the league in passing yards per game during the regular season. The offense was led by Running Back Saquon Barkley who had a career year and one of the best seasons in NFL history. Hurts contributed heavily in the rushing game and was tied for fifth in the league with 14 rushing touchdowns.
Final Thoughts
Smith is on the precipice of history, and a solid game from him should lead to victory over the Los Angeles Rams. Philadelphia has the best receiving duo in the league, and Hurts must find a way to jumpstart the passing game and get Smith and Brown heavily involved in the offense.
