It was reported earlier today that New York Jets Running Back Breece Hall will be out for Sunday’s road game against the Miami Dolphins. Hall suffered the injury in last week’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. As is the case with the rest of the 2024 New York Jets, Hall has not been at his best this season. He is 21st in the league in rushing yards and tied for 29th in rushing touchdowns.
Hall’s injury sets the table for rookie Running Back Braelon Allen to have lead tailback duties heading into tomorrow afternoon’s game. Allen and Hall have been a tandem in the New York Jets rushing attack this season. It has not been a successful season for New York on the ground though as they are 29th in the league in rushing yards. How will the New York Jets fare tomorrow without the services of Hall?
New York Jets Season Summary

New York(3-9) entered the season with Super Bowl aspirations, but their season has been a massive disappointment. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers was expected to be the savior for the franchise, but the now 41-year-old QB has looked far from his old self. He has just looked old for large stretches of this season. New York’s offense has been awful this season with Rodgers at the helm. They are 31st in total yards per game and 26th in points per game.
New York’s defense has also fallen off a cliff since they fired Head Coach Robert Saleh earlier this season. The Jets defense, after being one of the league’s best units over the past few seasons, has not been good in 2024. Even though the defense is third in yards allowed per game, they are 15th in points allowed. Their defense has also allowed 25 points or more in six of their 12 games this season after doing so six times last season.
Final Thoughts
The New York Jets are in a rough spot entering tomorrow’s game against the Miami Dolphins. New York is in freefall, losing eight of their last nine games, and will be without one of their offense’s best players. In what has been a miserable season for the Jets, the injury bit them at the most inopportune of times.
