New York Giants Legend Closer to 2025 Hall of Fame

The NFL Hall of Fame class will be announced soon, and New York Giants legend Eli Manning will be a finalist. Manning and 25 other modern-era players are finalists for the upcoming class of 2025. The Giants’ legendary quarterback had been inconsistent but has won two Super Bowls. 

Both Super Bowls were against the New England Patriots during their dynasty era. While the Hall of Fame would give Manning credit for those Super Bowls, being a first-ballot Hall of Famer is difficult. His overall career record is mixed, 117-117. There are arguments for his Pro Bowl stats, not being an All-Pro, and the short prime period of his career

Even with his flaws, Manning is a New York Giants legend worthy of being in the Hall Of Fame.

New York Giants Legend Is Hall Of Fame Worthy

The NFL Hall Of Fame for modern-era players is coming and New York Giants legend Eli Manning is a candidate. Manning is among the semi-finalists for the prestigious Hall of Fame which his legendary brother (Peyton) is also a member of. While the older Manning brother is a legend in the NFL, Eli had some amazing moments during his career. 

During his career, Manning led the New York Giants to their first Super Bowl since the 90s, being the underdogs against the undefeated Patriots. The New York Giants legend made his name during that 2007 playoff run, including outlasting Brett Farve at Lambeau. There is also making magic with Odell Beckham Jr during their time together as teammates. Manning also won the New York Super Bowl, embarrassing the Jets on Christmas Eve 2011 with a 99-yard touchdown pass.

There are arguments against Eli’s resume for the Hall Of Fame, including being mediocre for most of his career. There is also a lack of All-Pros for the younger Manning brother in his 16-year career, including his 2011 season. Even with two Super Bowls, the New York Giants legend is a flawed quarterback with embarrassing interceptions. There are also Eli’s famous expressions and faces during games, which is less steller for his legendary career.

With the Hall Of Fame final vote getting closer, the younger Manning is a New York Giants legend worthy of being a finalist. 

While his career wasn’t flashy, Manning led a franchise to two Super Bowls, which merits a Hall of Fame spot. One of those Super Bowls for the Giants was one of the best games in the NFL’s history, showing that underdogs could win it all. Manning was also a solid quarterback, especially in 2011 when he led the team to another Super Bowl.

While Manning could be a frustrating quarterback, he deserves to be in the Hall Of Fame with his brother. Being a finalist for the Hall Of Fame is difficult but this New York Giants legend earns his spot to be with other legends.
