Casemiro has spoken about the arrival of their new coach, Ruben Amorim. The Brazilian midfielder was full of positivity over the introduction of the Former Sporting CP manager. Earlier this season, Manchester United struggled under Erik Ten Hag. The Red Devils have struggled to find consistency under the Dutch manager. At a point, it was imminent that INEOS and the United management were about to pull the plug on the former Ajax man. Immediately after United’s loss against a West Ham side that has been in poor form this season, His contract was terminated within the same week.
Manchester United started processing the signing of Ruben Amorim by triggering his release clause. The Portuguese, who was a protege under Jose Mourinho during his time at Manchester United, accepted the deal. Amorim was set to resume work during the international break, which he has already as of now.
Casemiro on Amorim
Casemiro spoke about the Portuguese Manager who is now in charge of their club. He revealed how he and his fellow teammates earnestly yearn to start working with the former Sporting CP manager. The Brazilian also highlighted that Amorim will meet with an exceptional team at United and that, hopefully, they can achieve great things.
Casemiro said: “Ruben Amorim is a winner. Everyone speaks highly of him. We’re waiting for him with great joy and happiness. For sure Amorim will have an exceptional group here, who want to help, who want to keep growing, who want to learn, who want to be at the top of the table”.
Casemiro, on his form
Casemiro also talked about himself, especially his form so far this season. The Manchester United star started the season a bit slow, and it all became aggravated when the Red Devils got embarrassed at Old Trafford by their rivals Liverpool. The first two goals happened because he was caught off guard by high-pressing Liverpool players. Ever since, there have been a lot of questions on whether his time as a footballer is up or not; however, this season, Casemiro hasn’t been the only one in the team who has had questionable form. So it might be best to see it as a general team problem. Casemiro strongly believes he’ll get back to his best form as the season progresses.
He said: “It was just the Liverpool game, right? The whole team wasn’t good in that game, and I think it’s been a good season for me. I want to keep improving, to help my teammates and the coach, to help Manchester United”.
Ruben Amorim’s Task at Man United
The Portuguese, who has been coaching an informed Sporting CP side, will be hoping to pass the blitzing form down to his new club, Manchester United. However, there’s a lot to be done with Manchester Club. The Red Devils under Ten Hag had struggled in all facets. This ranges from defensive coordination, midfield balance and control, and attacking prowess. Manchester United have been average in all these areas. With the quality they have, it’s not expected to be that bad. However, the work Amorim will have may not necessarily be about much of tactics but majorly on the weakened psychological state of the players. And after this, he’ll be looking to enact a solid playing pattern amidst the team.
Amorim is known for playing 3 at the back. That might be a good idea, especially in dealing with United’s defensive coordination, for starters. And as time elapses other areas will be addressed.
Conclusion
Casemiro will be hopeful the new system will favor him and the team in general. Hopefully, they can grind out some solid results. Already they are 11 games into the league, their position might not be promising but there are a lot of games available that they can use to meet up and hopefully challenge for something big this season.
