Dana White’s Fierce Reply To Francis Ngannou At UFC 308

Dana White and Francis Ngannou are exchanging controversial statements these days and White continued to do so in the press conference of UFC 308. Ngannou left the organization two years ago because of a problem with his contract. Regardless, inquiries concerning White and the former heavyweight champion are frequently made. Previously Dana said that Francis Ngannou was near to getting fired in 2018 and he didn’t do it because someone begged him not to do so. Although he had lost two matches continuously they saw his talent.

Francis Ngannou vs Dana White

As we know Ngannou has gone through very hard times after the death of his child Kobe. So in response, Ngannou addressed the harsh statements of White labeled him as a “bully,” and clarified to the MMA world that the CEO of UFC is a failure. Before he left UFC many things were going on. Ngannou claims that he is still owed money by UFC that was promised following his victories against Stipe Miocic and Ciryl Gane.

Fans all saw the amazing performance of Francis Ngannou in the PFL Battle of Giants Series. He proved to the world that even after being out of the MMA Octagon he could win against the heavyweight champions. On the other side, White insists that he truly wanted to let Ngannou go, but it’s undeniable that Ngannou bounced back from those defeats to win the heavyweight title. After six consecutive victories, including knockouts over four previous champions and after Ngannou left the UFC.

This is what Dana White had to say about the previous heavyweight champion. “When have you ever heard a story in all the years we’ve been in business, even when it was upside down, where we owed somebody money? Never happened. So he’s full of shit there. Then, I lost? I didn’t lose anything. I was done with Francis after the Derrick Lewis fight. He owes me money because we had to watch that fight with him and The Black Beast.”

Personal Matters

Dana White made another big statement about this problem when he said that he had something more than just professional problems with Ngannou. He claimed that he had personal disputes that went far beyond just his fighting career. White stated that his relationship with Ngannou was never the same following their falling out, even after cooperating. Dana White explained to the media that Francis Ngannou is not a good guy. He explained further that Francis Ngannou has a different face off camera and he just plays to be a good guy but behind that face is an evil Ngannou.

Dana White said this in a press conference:

“Someday, I’ll tell you the story. I was all about Francis in the beginning and then I found out who Francis was, I told the two guys who asked me not to cut Francis when somebody shows you who they are, believe them. Believe me, I have no sleepless nights over Francis leaving. I didn’t like Francis as a person.

“It wasn’t a guy I wanted to do business with. My boys were telling me he’s misunderstood. I told them when somebody shows you who they are, believe them. It wasn’t about him becoming the heavyweight champion of the world. Francis isn’t a good guy. He plays the good guy. ‘I don’t understand the language’ so he seems like he’s a nice guy.”

Final Thoughts

As “The Predator” transitioned from MMA to boxing and earned lots of money, every fighter in UFC might think that they could earn more by jumping over boxing like Francis Ngannou. But Dana White would not let that happen. It would result in the downfall of UFC. So for that purpose, Dana White is now finding ways to save his organization. But overall UFC is also doing great as the UFC 308 performed very well due to the outstanding performance from Khamzat Chimaev.
