Francis Ngannou’s Big Win Against Renan Ferreira

Francis Ngannou

Francis Ngannou returned to MMA after a long absence. He was out of MMA because of problems in his contract with the UFC. UFC CEO Dana White wanted to have him for UFC all the time, but he wanted to compete in other organizations, too. His dream was to try boxing, and he earned a lot of money in boxing after trying it.

There were many debates about his return, and the organization discussed it at length before it was made official that he would fight Renan Ferreira. So, for now, he has joined one of the world’s biggest fighting companies, the Profesional Fighting League (PFL), instead of UFC.

Francis Ngannou Against Renan Ferreira

The match started and we all saw why Ngannou is called ‘The Predator’ as he directly went for the takedown and started to beat Ferreira viciously. Ngannou threw Ferreira to the corner of the Octagon and went for the takedown again. He started to throw hammer punches straight to Ferreira’s face again and again. The first round was obviously in favor of Ngannou, as he dominated the whole round. At the end of the round, the referee intervened and saved Renan from Francis, and the round finished.

From then on, Ferreira was careful, so he went for a takedown and tried submission on Ngannou, but that didn’t work. Ngannou freed himself and soon was on top of the heavyweight, beating and punching him. The division’s champion was helpless and could not do much but cover himself up from the deadly blows. He couldn’t even land a punch because of Ngannou’s fast punches.

Victory for Francis Ngannou

After a few exchanges of punches, Ferrera was down again on the ground, and we saw Ngannouon on top of him. We saw a little bit of grappling from both champions, but in the end, they both were heavy strikers and couldn’t resist but went for the striking again.

Ngannou was on top again and started throwing punches straight to the defense point. The intensity of Nagannou’s punches was shown when Ferreira’s defense broke down, and he was exposed to the barrage of punches of ‘The Predator‘. Soon the referee stopped him or else the Heavyweight Champion would have received life-threatening damages. Ngannou won the match, and this was his first win in his PFL career and, most importantly, his most dominant win of all time.

Final Moments

The Predator lost his 15-month-old son and he dedicated this fight to his son. Ngannou was very emotional during and after the fight because of this. He reminded the MMA world of his son again and again as he won the match.

Ngannou said this about his son. “I can’t just think about anything other than my son Kobe. “I only take this fight for him. I hope they can remember his name because, without Kobe, I wouldn’t be here tonight. It’s been tough. Not only the training camp was tough but the last two days were tough, full of emotion. I couldn’t do anything without thinking about it. It’s hard. This is for Kobe.” He ended the fight with this emotional and beautiful moment. What are your thoughts about Francis Ngannou’s win?
