Dana White’s Bold Claim: Francis Ngannou Earned Less in Boxing Than UFC

Dana White has recently made some serious claims regarding the former UFC Heavyweight Champion known as Francis Ngannou (The Predator). Dana White feels that Francis Ngannou did not make more money in his brief boxing career than he would have gotten fighting inside the Octagon. As Dana White is the CEO of UFC, he has to protect the UFC fighters from going to boxing and other MMA organizations.

Years ago ‘The Predator’ left the UFC Octagon and went on to follow his dreams. One of the biggest stories in combat sports history has been Ngannou leaving the UFC for the PFL to box in recent years. We all know that Ngannou did not leave UFC just to follow his dreams but there was some deep controversy between Dana White and Ngannou and it did not result well for UFC.

Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, headed by Turki Alalshikh, has been spending a lot of money in recent years on boxing. He has made big investments in the boxing fights of Francis Ngannou. The Predator has fought famous fighters like Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua which was the main point of investment for Alalshikh. It is estimated that Ngannou has made around 30 Million dollars with other benefits.
Dana White expressed his thoughts against the perception of the media and other analysts. “Like the whole statement you just made is positively not true. It’s those types of f*cking statements and those type of quotes by the media that makes all this shit. All these fights are happening, it takes a Saudi trillionaire. Every f*cking guy that tries to do the boxing thing, they all end up losing shit-loads of f*cking money. The model doesn’t work. A Saudi unlimited amount of money pops up and that’s what makes these fights happen, and even guys with that kind of money get f*cking tired of the bullshit.”

Dana White Protecting UFC

Per multiple reports, Ngannou made $30 million total off the two fights. Francis Ngannou has clearly said that he loves to fight in boxing and that has profited him a lot more than UFC. Ngannou said that he would have made $8 million to fight Jon Jones in the UFC. However, Dana White dismissed this report when reporters asked him afterward following the latest Contender Series event. White blames the reporters and media companies for spreading the fake news. But on the other side if we look on the other side we see Ngannou very happy with boxing and PFL, making millions of dollars a fight.

Final Thoughts

As we hear the CEO of UFC does not favor the idea of Ngannou and other analysts when other organizations are doing it but when it comes to UFC he is looking forward to competing in boxing with other companies. Before this interview, recently he made the claim that he will make his way into boxing.

After that White admitted that the fight business is one of the most difficult businesses of all time. He seemed unhappy with the ideas that boxing organizations were promoting. What are your thoughts about the future of UFC in boxing? Feel free to use the comment section to share your thoughts.
