Andrade went through many challenges to reach the point where he could challenge the United States Championship, LA Knight. He dominated a strong challenger like Carmelo Hayes and earned a chance to challenge LA Knight for the WWE United States Championship.
The match was scheduled for tonight’s SmackDown, and LA Knight was very confident that no one could take the belt off his shoulder. Although both of them performed very well, it was not a match where one wrestler would dominate the whole match.
Powerful Beginning of the Match
The match started, the bell rang, and most importantly, the two stars showed respect for each other. Knight and Andrade were performing very well, and both showed great moves; LA Knight avoided rolls and pins from the Andrade side until Andrade stepped out of the ring. They traded some chops, and this was when Andrade showed some dominance. He hit Knight with a strike, followed by a powerful hit to the face, allowing Andrade time to go for a pin. The countdown started, but Knight kicked out right after a count of one.
Things got more intense as Knight was dragged out from the ring outside to the floor and near the announce table, but things changed when they reached, and Knight took control of the situation, slamming his opponent’s head against and again on the table. Knight then threw him back into the ring and set him up in the corner. However, Andrade freed himself, and in the other second, he hit Knight’s face into the ring ropes, sending him down to the floor. Andrade was then ready for the next deadly move as he climbed up the ropes and jumped on LA Knight, which hurt him badly.
Andrade’s Dominance
Andrade went for another pin, but Knight kicked out at one and a half again. Frustrated, Andrade began shoving and kicking Knight, but soon Knight fired back with some big punches and a quick clothesline. Andrade caught another clothesline attempt and took Knight down with a forearm.
Andrade was then ready to hit Knight in the face with a powerful kick, but Knight could throw himself to the side, and Andrade was slammed down for a pin attempt. However, Andrade was kicked out. Knight then threw Andrade into the turnbuckle and holder with a chokehold, and afterward, we saw Andrade lying on the ground. That was the time for LA Knight to get a pin, and the referee was down for the countdown, but Andrade kicked out at 2. Andrade climbed to the top rope and adjusted mid-air for a big splash, but he still couldn’t pin the Champion.
Final Moments
In the final moments, Knight continuously dominates Andrade, hitting his head on the ropes and climbing up the ropes, hitting an elbow drop on him. Andrade managed to put the champion against the turnbuckles, but he slid himself to the side, allowing him a chance, although they wrestled a little bit in the end.
Andrade missed a very important kick, and LA Knight saw the opportunity to slam him into the ground. He got to the pin and retained his title.
