In WWE SmackDown on September 13, Andrade challenged Carmelo Hayes for the fifth time and emerged the winner. This victory means that he gets the shot for the WWE United States Title and will fight LA Knight for it on the 20th of September. Appearing on SmackDown LowDown on the same day, LA Knight said that no one has the power to take his throne and he is the only one worthy of it.
LA Knight said this to the WWE SmackDown LowDown. “I walked out there and had about 30 seconds of something to say. As far as I can tell, USA, our first night here, a historical night. What that means is, well, maybe just not quite enough of the US champ tonight. But I’ll tell you where you get enough of the US champ, you’ll get enough, and probably, if I’m honest, still not enough because you can’t get enough of this, man.”

Not because you’re not good enough, but because I won’t let you. That’s not an insult. That is just a fact of life. Because whose game is it? With everybody saying L-A-Knight, yeah!”
