Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes Team up for Bad Blood: Poweful Partnership

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes Team up for Bad Blood

The real Tribal Chief (OTC) Roman Reigns again shocked the WWE world with his superb interference. Before the show began, Cody Rhodes retained the Undisputed WWE Championship title against Solo Sikoa, and things got out of hand when The Bloodline attacked him, leading to Reigns’ intervention. This saw Nick Aldis organize a showdown of Reigns, Rhodes, Sikoa, and Jacob Fatu.

While The Bloodline was ready, Rhodes wasn’t, and Reigns initially didn’t either. During the show, Reigns signed the contract. Although Rhodes had some doubts at first about signing, he agreed as well, and thus, the stipulation of the Tag Team Match for the WWE Bad Blood event was put into force.

OTC offered payback and a big match with Jacob Fatu, but this was just a concept to set the plot for the upcoming big event and led to a bigger fight. Solo Sikoa, after losing in the ring and after being humiliated by the duo of ‘The American Nightmare‘ and Reigns, came to the SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis with a request for a tag team match at the Bad Blood event on Saturday, October 5, 2024, in Atlanta – The Bloodline vs Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes.

After Sikoa made the request, Rhodes came out and headed straight to the ring to confront Roman Reigns one-on-one. He said, “Your ring. Your WWE. Well, it was. But it hasn’t been since WrestleMania.” Both were ready to sign the contract, but Solo Sikoa with his team came to interfere. Suddenly, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa attacked Reigns and Rhodes and speared them, but Rhodes performed the Cody Cutter on Loa, and Reigns speared Tonga.

Formation of the New Team

Roman Reigns and Rhodes were circling each other; Reigns then took the contract and signed it. Sikoa continued to tease Reigns, saying Rhodes would never sign because he did not like him. However, Rhodes was the one to stretch out for the contract. Reigns appeared to be annoyed by the action, but Rhodes swore it, and thus, the match was made official.

Sikoa and Fatu were not happy to see Reigns and Cody Rhodes’s new partnership. But now, both groups will meet at Bad Blood. Questions have been raised about whether Reigns will invite other friends to level the numbers against the Bloodline, which may make a comeback of Jimmy or Jey Uso. In either case, watching Roman and Cody working together is an amazing scene, and we only have a couple of weeks left before we get to see it.

Final Thoughts

Two big matches of Bad Blood are revealed now, one of them is the massive rivalry between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre, and the other one is going to be the tag team match between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes team against ‘The Bloodline’.

There can be big surprises in the ring, as Cody Rhodes and Reigns might not stick together. The same goes for Jacob Fatu, too, but there are fewer chances for him to be separated from Sikoa because of his loyal attitude.
