Roman Reigns shocked the WWE world by interfering again in the same rivalry. In the much-awaited event for the SmackDown show that transitioned to the USA Network, Reigns, and Rhodes get added to the Bad Blood Premier event as they face Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. There were two main events and the other event was Randy Orton and Kevin Owens’s success over A-Town Down Under, and Andrade El Idolo with a victory over Carmelo Hayes.
Smackdown which was back on the USA Network after being aired on FOX for a while had seven good matches including a steel cage match between the undisputed champion Cody Rhodes and the Bloodline wrestler Solo Sikoa. It is time to tell you what happened in the event.
Intense Match in Steel Cage
The match started and Rhodes rushed towards Sikoa to dominate and this gave him the upper hand. He then proceeds to deliver more damage by slamming Sikoa into all four sides of the cage. This made Sikoa fight back where he knocked Cody Rhodes over the ropes and pinned him on the cage as well as the ring.
He charged at the American Nightmare and proceeded to pound him before sending him into the cage once again. Then, Sikoa power bombed Rhodes into the corner and tied him up in an upside-down position, and attempted a flying head butt. This caused Rhodes to develop a cut on his forehead and as a result of excessive bleeding, he fainted. Rhodes caught another head-butt and then started moving upwards towards the cage.
Cody Rhodes Dominating
The two wrestlers then got to the top of the cage where they exchanged blows in a very risky position. Sikoa ran toward Cody Rhodes delivered a big suplex to him and then dropped him down on the mat. When Rhodes kicked out of its pinning attempt the crowd roared and started chanting. Sikoa was right back with two Spinning moves but it proved not enough to damage Rhodes.
Cody Rhodes was able to dodge a Samoan Spike; thus, beginning his comeback. He hit a forearm, Disaster Kick, and the Cody Cutter, he managed to pin Sikoa and stayed the Title holder. Rhodes who had a great performance did not have the time to celebrate the victory. The second the match was done ‘The Bloodline‘ began scaling to the cage to enter the ring and confront him. Rhodes was ready to beat the upcoming rivals and was looking at his opponents but in the meanwhile, he was slapped with a Samoan Spike by Sikoa. The Bloodline managed to enter the cage somehow and tried to attack Rhodes.
Roman Reigns in Last Moments
As the crowd in Seattle cheered, the real Tribal Chief made his way to the ring. He climbed into the ring, closed the door, and began to fight The Bloodline. Roman Reigns fought Tanga Loa and Tama Tonga and pinned them down but Sikoa attacked him from behind. Sikoa came charging at him out of the corner, but Reigns was ready and leveling Sikoa with a Superman Punch. It seemed Reigns was going for the spear, but Fatu dragged Sikoa outside the ring before Reigns could hook him. Reigns then asked Fatu to come into the ring, and thus he entered.
He felt like he was set to go for the attack but before anything could happen Sikoa pulled Fatu out of the ring. Tonga and Loa assaulted Roman Reigns but the latter was again quick to rise and fight back challenging Tonga and Loa to the tag team. Rhodes used a Cross-Rhodes, and Reigns then hit the opponent with a spear. Before the segment ended, the main eventers of WrestleMania 40, Rhodes and Reigns looked deeply into each other’s eyes in the ring.
