The rest, as they say, is history. Today, Rogan is not only one of the most recognized voices in MMA. He also hosts the world’s most popular podcast, (The Joe Rogan Experience), he stated that
‘Wait a minute. So you’re telling me I can come to the the sport that I love the most in the world, have the best seat in the house, and talk about it on TV? I’m in!’ He did the first 13 for free, and the rest is history. Now he has the biggest podcast in the world, and he’s the greatest combat sports commentator of all time.
For many years, Rogan worked with Mike Goldberg, the latter being the play-by-play man and Rogan, the color commentator. This dynamic became a part of the UFC broadcasts, where Rogan’s knowledge of fighting helped inform the new fans and, in some cases, supplement what Goldberg forgot. It was a formula that proved quite successful, and few followers had grouses during that period. Rogan enjoyed the sport and could explain specific moves, making him a valuable addition to the UFC.
