2024 Jacksonville Jaguars Season Outlook

2024

Will the Jaguars pull off a win against the Chicago Bears in London on October 13, 2024?  It’s an epic 2024 season for the Jacksonville Jaguars, with back-to-back games in London.

The Jaguars will play the second of the two London games on October 20, 2024.  The Patriots play the Jaguars at Wembley Stadium, the Jags home away from home stadium.  But the Bears’ game will be tough for the Jaguars. The last time they were up against Chicago, they lost 41-17. Yes, this was a few years back, but can the Jaguars pull off a victory against the Bears in 2024?

October 13, 2024, Lawrence vs Williams in London

The big question is this: What can we expect to see with Trevor Lawrence against Caleb Williams?  The Chicago Bears announced Friday that Caleb Williams will be the starting Quarterback. And Williams is hungry for success.

Williams worked with a private quarterback coach, Will Hewlett, before attending the Bears mini camp. ESPN reports Williams is determined and is no stranger to success. He won the Heisman Trophy in 2022 while playing for the University of Southern California

Trevor Lawrence came from Clemson University and was a contender for the Heisman. He was drafted by the Jaguars in 2021. Like Williams, he was selected first overall. Lawrence led the Jags to a division title in 2022. Lawrence’s advantage is his continued improvement with the Jaguars. He was the 15th-ranked quarterback last season. Could his experience and skill help guide the Jaguars to a win over the Bears in 2024? Time will tell.

2024 Jaguars Improvements

The Jaguars are resilient.  Fox Sports reported,  “The left side of the Jaguars’ offensive line was a revolving door in 2023.”  The Jags have addressed their offensive line and have made a few roster moves, and the 2024 season looks to be an improvement over the disappointment of 2023.

Guards Tyler Shatley, Ezra Cleveland, and Blake Hance all return to the Jaguars’ offensive line. Javon Foster, an offensive tackle from Missouri, was a great draft choice for the Jags.

Jaguars First Week Challenges

The Jaguars start the season with an away game against the Miami Dolphins on September 8, 2024.  This will present a huge challenge for the Jags’ defense.  The Jaguars have a new defensive coordinator, Ryan Nielsen, who came to the team from the Atlanta Falcons.  Nielson has coached in the NFL since 2017. The good news is has coached some success stories like Jessie Bates III.

The Jaguars will be put to the test from the start because the Miami Dolphins led the league in total yards. Even so, the Jags prevailed over the Fins 31 to 18 last season.  This game could give the Jaguars a great start to the NFL season.
