Jey Uso fought against Bron Breakker in WWE Monday Night RAW. Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso’s brother, has been trying to form a team with his sibling and Roman Reigns to face the new form of the Bloodline. Jey Uso made his way to Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love, for Monday Night WWE Raw. Uso previously earned his Intercontinental Championship title from Bron Breakker in the ‘Bad Blood’ Premier event, so Breakker wanted to try again. This was Breakker’s opportunity.
WWE Raw had more than just the main fight; the audience also saw a No. 1 Contender tag team match with wrestlers such as The New Day and AOP, as well as teams Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and American Made. On the other side, Bronson Reed also wants to take revenge on Seth Rollins. The wrestler attacked him previously when he was down in ‘Last Monster Standing’. The show also announced a confrontation between Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed before their main match.
Jey Uso Dominating the Match
The Intercontinental Championship fight was between Jey Uso and Bron Breakker. Jey was dominating mostly, but when Bloodline interfered, things changed very quickly. At first, Uso was down. Eventually, he rallied and dominated the Bloodline too.
After that, Jey Uso eliminated Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, as well as Tonga Loa. It seemed that he was going to retain the Intercontinental title and had nailed Breakker. Uso wanted to end things with his famous signature move, top rope splash, but Breakker kicked out at the count of two.
Bloodline Interfered Heavily
Then, with a surprising superkick, Fatu once more knocked down Uso, performed a Samoan drop on the ground, and threw him towards the commentators, breaking a table. Jacob Fatu forced Jey off guard and allowed Bron Breakker to go in for a big spear. The spell was successful, and it led to the ‘pin’, which secured the victory and the second Intercontinental Championship for Breakker.
Jey Uso lost very badly, and it was a huge blow for him. He was very happy to be the champion after suffering through things during and after the Bloodline. WWE is setting the plot for Jey Uso to join Roman Reigns and his brother Jimmy Uso against the fake Bloodline. Together, they will be much stronger against Solo Sikoa.
Final Thoughts
Bron Breakker regained his title with the help of Bloodline. A lot of people believe that he never lost the title in the first place and that Jey Uso was not worthy of the title. Uso had threatened the enforcer of Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, on Friday. And now it all makes sense that the attack was from Jacob Fatu and caused Jey Uso to lose the title.
Besides the big rivalry between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, this gives a hint of a bigger rivalry between Uso and Fatu. What are your thoughts about the future of Jey Uso and the rivalry between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa?
