WNBA Debut of Superstar Players In 2024

WNBA, Debut, Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese

The eagerly awaited debuts of some of the newest WNBA stars will take place all across the United States over the next two evenings. The Women’s National Basketball Association, aka. The WNBA will begin play on their 28th season tonight with a brand new cast of athletes ready to take center stage.

New rookies Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and Cameron Brink are ready to lace ‘em up against the best women’s basketball players in the world, like A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, and Chelsea Gray.

The storybook tale starts to unfold tonight as the league tips off the 2024 WNBA regular season. For some teams, it will be a nightmare season with better days ahead. For others, they will fight gallantly into the good nights and make a playoff appearance. However, only one team will claim the WNBA championship in October.

The Reigning WNBA Champs Reside In Las Vegas

At one point, not so far ago in American history, Las Vegas was considered a plague to be avoided at all costs. People might whisper about cheating and bias if a team from *Las Vegas* claimed a championship trophy!  First, the NHL dipped its skate blade into the market, announcing the Golden Knights in 2016. The following year, the San Antonio Stars moved west and rebranded as the Las Vegas Aces

The back-to-back WNBA Champions can blast John Cena’s “The Champs Are Here” music all they want. Becky Hammon’s squad will be looking for Aja Wilson to continue dominating as the best player in the WNBA in the quest for the Aces attempt to claim a third-straight WNBA Championship.

The Las Vegas Aces will host the Phoenix Mercury to open up the 2024 campaign on Tuesday night.

A pair of electric rookies will be looking to make their impact on the league from Day One. The pseudo-rivalry between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese will move to the big stage as both officially begin their WNBA careers this evening.

Caitlin Clark will get the first opportunity to lace the shoes and hoop in a road contest this evening. The Indiana Fever travel to face the Connecticut Sun. The Sun finished the year at 27-13 on the way to their seventh-consecutive postseason appearance before falling to the New York Liberty in the Semi-Finals. Indiana missed the playoffs at 13-27 but drew the #1 overall selection in the WNBA draft. They used the top choice on Clark.

The Phoenix Mercury will begin their quest from the WNBA’s cellar after a 9-31 season and will be starting the year without a significant star. Diana Taurasi received some significant help this offseason as the Mercury’s additions include Natasha Cloud and Kahleah Cooper. Phoenix will be looking to travel to Las Vegas and beat the house by spoiling the Aces’ championship banner party this evening.

The New York Liberty meets the Washington Mystics to open the WNBA season. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Lynx will travel to the Pacific Northwest for a meeting with the Seattle Storm tonight.

Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky will do battle with the Dallas Wings on Wednesday night for the much-anticipated debut of the former LSU star. Finally, the Atlanta Dream travels to Hollywood to meet the Los Angeles Sparks for a west-coast showdown.

How To Find The WNBA League Pass

It is pretty simple to find the WNBA League Pass.  You can just click a couple of words before this. Done.

Ok, fine. My editors won’t like that sentence as much as this whole section. If you want an entire season of the WNBA for less than the full cost of a doordash dinner in the Northeast, it will cost you $34.99 USD for the whole season.  With over 400+ games on the WNBA schedule over the next few months, that is a head-shaking price.

If you are a student – and still reading this – first, I very much appreciate your attention this far…. And secondly, can I attempt to save you some money?!

There is a STUDENT DISCOUNT available that drops the price of the WNBA League Pass to $19.99. Eligible students will need to verify their student status to claim the discounted price.
