Arsenal, the current premier league toppers have managed to sustain themselves in the title run-in until MW35. Indicating a significant improvement from last season’s title race with Manchester City, when they collapsed before MW34.
The fact that Arsenal are still alive in the title race at this point has not only shown how much they have improved in squad depth. But also, they have learnt the experiences and mental sustenance needed when being in a fierce title battle against clubs like Man City and Liverpool.
In their upcoming match against AFC Bournemouth, Mikel Arteta’s gunners would once again step out to sustain their momentum in the race for a Premier League triumph.
However, the burdens they would be willing to surmount against their upcoming familiar foe AFC Bournemouth, could terrify them this time.
Why Arsenal Should Be Scared of Bournemouth

With only possible 9 points remaining to be claimed by Arsenal before match week 38, most football pundits and commentators have assumed Manchester United is the only potential obstacle to the Gunners in claiming those probable 9 points.
However, they have failed to analyse the potential damage the cherries could pose on Arsenal’s title charge tomorrow.
Having escaped with a 3-2 win against them last season, a match so memorable that it produced one of Gunners highlights of the season. Arteta and his boys must have learnt from experience not to give out chances that could jeopardize his team.
As compared to last season, AFC Bournemouth are currently 10th as they were last season against Arsenal. But looking at their league position from 1st November till now, they have been the 5th best team. Only bested by Arsenal, Manchester City and Aston Villa.
So, the idea that Arsenal is facing a lowly-placed Bournemouth shouldn’t be given much attention, as the former who has won 7 out of their last 10 Premier League matches and scored 18+ goals at the same time, can afflict extreme damages on Arsenal’s title’s race.

Bournemouth has a porous defence. With 60 goals conceded alone this season, it won’t be hard for this season’s best scoring team to get past it.
Dominic Solanke’s depreciating open-chance scoring form could be another potential advantage to the Gunners. The Cherries hitman’s last open-chance goal came against Manchester United’s 2-2 draw with Bournemouth. Since then, he’s only scored a penalty whilst firing blank in other matches.

The Gunners currently has the best defence in the league. Their clean sheet records over the months this season exemplify that. So, how can a team like Bournemouth score against them?
Records have shown that Arsenal, especially their defence has a tendency of making silly mistakes in their attempts to navigate high blocks by the oppositions. Most recent example would be Raya’s mistake against Tottenham and Declan’s rice mistimed tackle on Ben Davies in the same match.
So, with this in mind, a probable overflow of Bournemouth players on Arsenal defenders could force a potential mistake and probably, a goal.
