WWE Money in the Bank took place on July 6th, 2024, and with the Bloodline six-man tag team match taking place in the main event, many fans were expecting either a debut or a return to take place, specifically regarding Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso.
Unfortunately for those fans, that was not the case as The Bloodline was able to win the match with no outside interference aside from Tonga Loa who was already ringside when the match started. That victory went to show how dominant the reformed faction was, though it did leave some viewers disappointed.
This brings up the question as to when the WWE could see the return of top stars such as Roman Reigns, The Rock, and Jimmy Uso, as well as possible debuts of Hikuleo and Zilla Fatu.
Money in the Bank 2024 Main Event
In the main event of Money in the Bank 2024, the new Bloodline took on three of the biggest names in the WWE in a 6-man tag team match. Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and the recently debuting Jacob Fatu were able to defeat Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton.
The match heavily showcased the dominance of the newest member of The Bloodline, Jacob Fatu. Fatu was able to outpower each of the three men on the other team, including WWE legend Randy Orton. There was absolute decimation occurring in that match, and much of it can be credited to the Samoan Werewolf.
To the shock of many, the match did not end with a return or a debut and instead finished with Solo Sikoa pinning Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes with a Samoan Spike. The Bloodline then stood on top after the match ended, with no one coming out to help the babyfaces.
When Will Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso Return?
Although there is no confirmation, Roman Reigns has been rumored to return on the Smackdown before SummerSlam 2024. With Solo Sikoa pinning Cody Rhodes, he will likely face him in the main event at SummerSlam. Roman could very well come back to stop Solo from winning the World title as he is the Tribal Chief and that’s his championship.
Solo Sikoa has recently named himself the new Tribal Chief and has also made regards about Roman Reigns such along the lines of him not being built to lead the family, and that Sikoa was the real Head of the Table. He has also claimed that Roman Reigns won’t be coming back to the WWE, though there seems to be no substance to that comment.
The new Bloodline also laid a vicious beatdown on The Wiseman Paul Heyman on the June 28th edition of Friday Night Smackdown, kicking him out of the faction. This came after Heyman refused to acknowledge Solo Sikoa as his Tribal Chief. On the July 5th Friday Night Smackdown, Solo Sikoa officially announced himself the new leader of The Bloodline, kicking Reigns out of the group that he created.
Jimmy Uso was kicked out of The Bloodline on the Smackdown after WrestleMania 40 where he was attacked by Tama Tonga and Solo Sikoa. There have been no talks about a specific date for his return, though it may be happening soon as the WWE seems to be heading towards an old Bloodline vs new Bloodline storyline.
There May Be More Members of the Bloodline
Currently, the only on-screen members of The Bloodline are Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu. However, there is one other Bloodline member who was never officially kicked out of the faction, that being “The Final Boss”, The Rock.
The current storyline going on at this point and this new version of The Bloodline could very well all be planned out by The Rock, who has previously made claims regarding who the real Head of the Table is.
The Rock was last seen on Raw after WrestleMania 40, where he told Cody Rhodes that eventually, the Undisputed WWE Championship would come back to The Bloodline, but didn’t specifically mention The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns.
The WWE has reportedly signed NJPW wrestler Hikuleo, who is the brother of Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa. There hasn’t been any confirmation on when the giant will make his debut with the company, but it will likely happen very soon. There has also been speculation regarding the WWE bringing in Zilla Fatu, though nothing has been stated regarding him.
