The right-back is set for his new adventure, surprisingly it is in England itself as he soon joins the bitter rivals of Manchester United. His agent is currently having the final talks with the West Ham committee to close in and finalize the deal. It has been reported that the medicals are being scheduled for Monday. West Ham began the talks for signing Wan-Bissaka earlier this month, but now it seems that as time is passing by, the deal is becoming even more concrete. West Ham are eager to bring Wan-Bissaka into the squad as soon as possible. They want him to feature in the season’s opening match on the 17th of August.
How is This Deal Beneficial for Manchester United
Manchester United has had a comparatively busy transfer window this season. They have secured the signings of Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee for a total price of 121 million euros (including the transfer fees of 95 million euros) and future add-ons. They have also parted ways with Mason Greenwood, Donny van de Beek, Willy Kambwala, and Alvaro Fernandez so far this summer, United has raised just over 50 million euros (64m euros) in transfer fees – including add-ons.
This deal puts them in a situation where they will be able to receive 50 million euros for Aaron Wan-Bissaka from West Ham as the transfer fee which will pave the way for Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich (his deal costs 40 million euros). Manchester United feels that Noussair Mazraoui will perfectly fit into the squad under Erik Ten Hag’s project.
A fair trade from the perspective of Manchester United might result in no additional expense for signing a player they consider to be more beneficial in their squad.
