‘We will Put Our Best Team’ Hansi Flick Reveals Ahead of Young Boys Clash

Hansi Flick on Barcelona-Young Boys Clash

Hansi Flick spoke ahead of Barcelona’s Champions League clash against Young Boys on the 1st of October. The German commented in retrospect on their big loss against Osasuna. He claims to have learned and will be willing to field in his best team. Barcelona has had a great start to the season winning almost every possible La Liga game that came their way. However, they’ve had a couple of painful setbacks.

Their first setback came when they lost 2-1 to Monaco after they were handed a Red Card. The second setback came on the weekend when Hansi Flick decided to rest some key players ahead of this Champions League fixture. Sadly it didn’t work as they found themselves battered against Osasuna. However, in spite of these setbacks, the Catalans have been sensational this season. Hansi Flick hopes he can respond ahead of the UCL Fixtures.

Blaugranas are in serious need of three points in their challenge against Young Boys. In their last UCL game, they found themselves stumbling to a 2-1 loss against Monaco. Hansi Flick will not want a double loss in a row at the Champions League.

Barcelona have been highly impressive this season. The Catalan club had been able to manage injuries in the team. Key players like De Jong, Olmo, and Gavi have been out for a while now. Leaving the likes of Raphina, Yamal, and Pedri a lot of heavy tasks ahead. So far they’ve been able to manage and maintain top of the La Liga. And as they go into the Champions League they are still a team to reckon with.

On the bright side, most of the injured players are nearing their return. In the latest Hansi Flick conference he gave positive news on them.

Hansi Flick Ahead of the game

The German believes he has learned his lesson, and he is ready to put in his best players ahead for the game.

The German said: “We will put out the best team to beat Young Boys. They lost the first match, but we must not be complacent. We want to win the first three points in any case. We have to score as many points as possible from the start. We have analyzed them as we analyze any team. They have been champions in the past, this year they have not started very well, but we have seen that they have good players and that they are strong on the counter.

He continued: “If you make a lot of mistakes, like against Osasuna, it’s harder to defend. Precisely when the other team plays well on the counter, you have to reduce the mistakes. The players do that very well. When we have the ball, we know how to play, how to combine, how to be positioned. The key is to make a few mistakes. We have to assume and be clear that we all have our responsibility on the pitch”

Hansi Flick on De Jong’s fitness

The German has given positive news on the return of the Dutch star who has been out for months. Hansi Flick believes he is ready for some minutes.

The German said: “Yes, it’s great news to have Frenkie in the team, whether it’s five minutes or ten minutes. It’s very important for us. We have had players injured and after October we will get three players back. We are all happy when they come back, and it will be good for Frenkie too to come back, to be there, to be able to be with the youngsters. And if he gets the chance to play, he will. I don’t know if 45, 20 or 10. And it will be good for him, in my opinion.”
