The Premier League match week concluded with title challengers Arsenal smashing relegation-threatened Sheffield United by six goals at Bramall Lane.
Arsenal secured another big win to keep up the pressure on Liverpool and Manchester City. For Sheffield United, it is another big loss and it is very hard to see how they get out of trouble before the season is over.
Another incredible away trip ?

Martin Odegaard’s Comments on Winning the Game
Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has appraised the effort of the team. In his words;
“We know it is a tough place to come. “We have done really good and controlled the game, we knew what their game was like and when we had the ball we were in a good mood and created a lot – a solid and nice performance. “We wanted to keep the momentum going and wanted to start strong, places like this can be tricky if you don’t start well and we didn’t stop from there.
“I think it’s unbelievable the work we do without the ball. We won 6-0 today and recently we have won a lot, but the work we do without the ball from the front to the goalkeeper is really good and it is a pleasure to be a part of.
“We work on getting enough people in the box, for myself I like to come from the deep and end up on the penalty spot. The front players attack other areas and one of us will get the ball and score hopefully.
How They Did It
Martin Odegaard put us ahead with a simple finish inside five minutes before Bukayo Saka forced an own goal to double our advantage. Gabriel Martinelli made it 3-0 after a quarter of an hour and Kai Havertz soon made it four.
Declan Rice claimed his fifth of the season before half-time and Ben White completed the rout in the second-half. White’s goal was the 10,000th in the club’s history and also put the seal on a record-equalling Premier League away victory.
Speaking About Having a Winter-Break
“I think we needed a break, to be honest. We was in a tough moment before, we was tired and we needed a restart.”We worked on some details and had some time off and comeback strong, we just need to keep it up as the end of the season is when it matters.
“Every game is crucial. The top is a good fight and every game is important and another three points is what we want to get, so hopefully we can do that.”
Going Top of the Premier League
Arsenal’s start to this year has been nothing short of sensational, with their 6-0 thrashing of Sheffield United the latest example of their ability to brutally swat aside opponents. If Arsenal beat Brentford on Saturday then they will go top of the Premier League before Liverpool and Manchester City meet on Sunday.
A big incentive for the Gunners to keep on picking up the wins.
