Washington Wizards

The Wizards are still building their team roster. With Alex Sarr in the picture, the Wizards would like to build around this up-and-coming superstar. The French basketball player comes with international experience of playing the FIBA U17 and U19. Therefore we should expect more from this talented rookie.

Sarr plays center for the Wizards team, therefore, we have to look out for his defensive prowess. In his last season at the Perth Wildcats, the seven-footer averaged 9.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game in 17.3 minutes, making 52% of his field goals.

The Wizards’ roster still possesses another first-round pick, Bub Carrington, who should assist in the offensive part of the game. Carrington displayed some playmaking potential in college where he averaged 13.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists in 33 games. Also, the 18-year-old guard drives to the rim to make 41.2% of his field goals. Thus we should expect a solid game performance from this youngster in his debut.

Atlanta Hawks

The Hawk fans are fortunate that their number one rookie Zaccharie Risacher is healthy enough to make the roster for this game. Risacher should be the main attraction in this summer league exhibit. The 19-year-old forward also comes with international experience from FIBA U17 and U19.

Throughout his basketball, the French basketball player averaged 11 points and 3.9 rebounds in 65 games. What the Hawks fans anticipate to see is Risacher’s 3-and-D performance on the court. Offensively, he averaged a field goal percentage of 47% and a three-point percentage of 38.7%.

Nikola Djurisic should put up a show against the Washington Wizards. He is an offensive threat who makes 42.7% of his field goal attempts. Therefore, Djurisic could serve well as a supportive player to the team’s offensive strategy. In college, the 20-year-old averaged 11.5 points and 2.6 rebounds in 69 games. Additionally, he lands as the franchise’s No. 43 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Possible Breakout Players Of The Game

Washington Wizards

The Wizards’ Kyshawn George made the team’s roster for this summer league stint. Also, the 20-year-old forward could be the Hawks’s best 6th man. In college, the forward averaged 7.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists. George played for the Miami Hurricanes to average a field goal percentage of 42.6% and a three-point percentage of 40.8%.

Atlanta Hawks

Mouhamed Gueye, who started his NBA career on rocky ground, will appear to assist his teammate against the Wizards. The Senegalese basketball player would bring his NBA experience to the table to help his team take advantage of the Wizards team. In his debut for the Hawks, the 21-year-old forward played six games and averaged four points and 3.7 rebounds in 12.2 mins.
