Virat Kohli’s Special Wish for Paris-Bound Indian Athletes 2024

Virat Kohli sent a heartfelt message to Indian athletes ahead of the Paris Olympics 2024. Kohli wished the heroes good luck in a video greeting and encouraged Indians to rally behind them.

The super Paris Olympics 2024 event is planned to begin on July 26 and will go on until August 11. Kohli recorded a video message for Indian athletes who have worked hard to compete in the world’s most prestigious sports competitions.

Virat Kohli’ highlighted India’s development over time. As well as the achievements in several industries. He stated that excitement and anxiousness would be apparent. But that Indians should wholeheartedly support and remember their national heroes.

Virat Kohli’s Message for Indian Athletes

Indian cricket star Virat Kohli released a sentimental appeal to the nation to come together behind its Olympic athletes, saying,  “They are determined to reach the podium in the next quadrennial spectacle, which begins on July 26 in Paris.

Kohli called for India to be recognized as a world-class athletic power in a video that was just over a minute long and widely shared on social media. The captured video featured sportsmen on their way to Paris. Including javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra and boxing prospect Nishant Dev.

“Previously, the world identified India with snake charmers and elephants. This has changed throughout time. Today, we are known around the world as the largest democracy and a global tech hub,” Virat Kohli stated.

“We are famous for cricket and Bollywood, for start-up unicorns, and for being the world’s fastest-growing economy. So, what is the next big thing for our wonderful country? “That will be more gold, silver, and bronze,” Virat Kohli concluded.

Virat Kohli then addressed Indian sports fans, encouraging them to support the 118-strong team of athletes who will be attempting to improve the country’s best-ever performance of seven medals at the previous Games in Tokyo.

“Our brothers and sisters are on their way to Paris, hungry for medals.” A billion people will be watching, frightened and delighted, as our athletes take to the tracks, fields, courts, and rings.

“Every neighborhood and corner of India will hear a chorus of people chanting ‘India, India, India’. Join me in remembering their expressions as they approach the stage, determined to wave the Tiranga with pride.

“Jai Hind and good luck India,” Virat Kohli, who is presently in London on vacation following India’s T20 World Cup victory in the West Indies last month, said in his monologue. Most Indian athletes are now training abroad and will go to the French capital from their separate camps.

India’s Medal Prospects at the Summer Games

Aside from the prospect of a second consecutive podium finish for Chopra, who made history with his javelin throw gold in Tokyo, India’s medal chances will be based on shooting, badminton, wrestling, and boxing.

India sent 118 competitors to the Summer Games, including 48 women and 70 men. These players will represent India in 16 matches throughout the tournament. India’s medal chances are centered on 2021 Tokyo Olympics gold winner javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra and star badminton player PV Sindhu, among others.

India earned one gold, two silver, as well as four bronze medals at the previous edition in Tokyo. Aside from Chopra’s gold, Ravi Kumar Dahiya (wrestling) and Mirabai Chanu (weightlifting) earned silver medals. While Sindhu, Bajrang Punia (wrestling), Lovlina Borgohain (boxing), and the Indian men’s hockey team received bronze.
