After Pakistan capitulated to a 0-2 series defeat at the hands of Bangladesh in their recent series, the fans of Babar began posting messages on social media seeking advice from the Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli on how to get out of the situation. This plea is sharply reminiscent of the backing Babar gave to him when the India captain was struggling with a slump in form. In mid-2022, Babar Azam took to social media to motivate Virat with words of encouragement ‘This too shall pass. ’

Many of Babar Azam’s fans expect the same from Virat Kohli as Babar Azam is now experiencing the same phase. Because he needs someone’s support. Fans and supporters think that Virat should now come to the help of his struggling junior after the latter has had his fair share of problems in cricket. However, there are always fresh expectations and despite all this, some Pakistan fans say that Kohli does not need support since it is the expectation of return for a two-year-old post.
Unlike Babar who struggled in the recent wet, Virat Kohli has been excellent throughout this tournament. He has delivered match-winning performances in various Australia tours of India in the 2023 Border Gavaskar trophy series in the Asia Cup 2023 in Sri Lanka. Before hitting 50 ODI tonnes he came up with a world record for highest numbers of centuries in ODI’s touch at the 2023 World Cup.
Virat Kohli also broke the record for the highest aggregate of runs in the World Cup tournament alone. He retired from T20 internationals after scoring match-winning 76 runs in the T20 World Cup final, this year against South Africa.

The cricket fans are especially still in awe of the even and odd sidelines involving Virat Kohli and Babar Azam. The two have, no doubt, remained great players in world cricket, however, for now, he is setting benchmarks and scoring heavily while Babar is not in the best of forms having had a string of below-par performances.
