Virat Kohli leaves special message for PM Narendra Modi after Prime Minister hosts T20 World Cup heroes for breakfast

As for the Indian cricket team, particularly Virat Kohli and his men, they were welcomed home by their fans on Thursday. After three days of being stranded in the Caribbean due to Hurricane Beryl, Rohit Sharma’s ‘Team India’ arrived back in Delhi. The teams came on a 6 a.m. Air India Charter flight named Air India Champions 24 World Cup (AIC24WC).

This was however done against a backdrop of heavily rainy weather, but hundreds of fans trooped into the airport carrying the national flag and other special banners to welcome their World Cup stars. There was joy and jubilation among the people as fans gathered in large numbers to welcome back the victorious team and publicly demonstrated their Indian arrest, passion, and love for the Indian cricket heroes.

To be specific, hundreds of people have been waiting in the cold weather beyond the airport, brandishing the flag of their country and holding special large posters to welcome their favorite player from the World Cup. There was joy, like when a winning team is brought back home. The crowd was enthusiastic, and this was evident in their dancing.

The team boarded a bus from the airport on a rainy New Delhi morning where thousands of fans chanted the players’ names. Post that, they all reached ITC Maurya, in Chanakyapuri, where the team stayed for a few hours before leaving for PM’s residence. The last five days have been exhilarating for Team India, despite the weather and logistical challenges, the overall mood has been fantastic.
