After a drama-filled naming process, the Utah Hockey Club has finally narrowed down its logo and name to three possibilities. The Utah Yeti title was vetoed by the United States Patent and Trademark Office on behalf of the YETI cooler brand due to the club failing to come to an agreement with the popular company.
Utah Hockey Club Names
After a chaotic naming process, the Utah Hockey Club has narrowed down the selection to three options. The Utah Hockey Club, Utah Mammoth, and Utah Wasatch. Each name, apart from “Utah Hockey Club” has a rich history in the location. The Utah Wasatch is a popular mountain range in the Wasatch State Park. In addition, the fossils of mammoth populations were found in the state, but the choice could also be due to Mammoth Mine, Mammoth Lake, or Mammoth Mountain.
Drama with the very popular company, YETI Coolers, has surfaced. Many fans were committed to the prospective name Utah Yeti until failed negotiations on the patent of the name iced out the opportunity. While the Utah Hockey Club remains an option, many fans think it is potentially too bland. Regardless, we finally get to see a brand name and logo announced soon for the quite impressive young group.
