Arnold Allen and Giga Chikadze will kick off the UFC 304 main card in the Co-op Arena on July 27 as the first of five fights on the pay-per-view portion. Both Allen and Chikadze will be looking to get themselves back on track. Allen has not won since October 2022 with his last two fights being losses to Max Holloway and Movsar Evloev that have halted his title aspirations. Chikadze won his last fight against Alex Caceres but has fought just once in the last two years and was criticized in his last performance for his lack of urgency.

Arnold Allen’s Last Fight
After winning the first 10 fights of his UFC career, Allen ran into the stone wall that was Max Holloway in his first main event to lose his 12-fight win streak. However, Allen’s luck would get worse in his most recent outing as he suffered the first losing streak of his career with a decision loss to the undefeated Movsar Evloev.
The striking of Holloway had Allen out-gunned but ‘Almighty’ was bested by Evloev in all aspects of the fight for nearly all 15 minutes. Allen had his moment in the third round and nearly finished the Russian with knees from the front headlock position but had the fight halted by the referee due to the shots being determined illegal.
In the fight with Giga Chikadze at UFC 304, Allen will be fighting in England for the first time since UFC London in 2022 when he finished Dan Hooker with a first-round TKO.
Giga Chikadze’s Last Fight
Chikadze’s loss to Calvin Kattar in the main event of UFC Vegas 46 was not the first of his career but the most damaging as it sidelined the former GLORY Kickboxer for nearly two years. Chikadze did not make another appearance until 19 months after the defeat, returning to beat veteran Alex Caceres by decision at UFC Singapore.
The win was an ideal rebound for the Georgian but did not satisfy the fans who believed he was a future title contender before his loss to Kattar. Chikadze landed just three more significant strikes than Caceres despite ‘Bruce Leeroy’ reporting after the fight that he had broken his arm in the first round. Chikadze would also fake his retirement in his post-fight interview which did not land well with the general public.
Key Statistics
Barring an unorthodox fight approach from either fighter, the UFC 304 main card opener will likely be a striker’s delight with neither tending to favor wrestling. Chikadze will have the size advantage on the feet as the taller man by four inches with the same edge in reach. Both men have a kickboxing background preluding their UFC careers with Chikadze’s 38-10 record in GLORY Kickboxing being more pronounced.
Though he is the more natural kickboxer, Chikadze showed slight signs of aging and slowing down in his win over Alex Caceres. Allen will have the age advantage of being five years younger. Regardless, Chikadze figures to have the edge in power with six official knockdowns in the UFC to Allen’s three. Age and location figure to be a factor in the betting odds with Allen being over a 2-1 favorite.
